Activision Acquires Official NASCAR 2011 License [Updated]

It's been rumoured for a few days now apparently, but it's now been officially confirmed. Activision is working on NASCAR 2011: The Game and has launched an official site to accompany the publisher's acquisition of the license.

There's very little information currently on the site, but you can register on the forums and chat about NASCAR, cars and ovals to your heart's content.

And there's a big countdown timer set to run down in just a few days, which should hopefully bring with it a few fresh details on Acti's NASCAR title. Keep your eyes peeled, NASCAR fans!

NASCAR 2011: The Game features 22 real-life tracks, complete with full pit stop strategies and there will be some spectacular multi-car pile ups in 16-player online multiplayer no doubt. NASCAR 2011: The Game is slated for release in February 2011. Check out the logo and four sexy car renders. Oooh!

They keep pushing it back and I might loose even more interest in it. Nascar was a big reason why I was getting it but with this game coming out I might pass.

We will see. I'm not all that confident in Activision but hopefully they make a good game.
