Out of the box, covered in oil...

Apart from that I think he looks a bit insane, his eyes make him look like psycho bats!

No warps. (both PERS & Sonar heads checked)

No dents.

No scuffs.

No shiny bits.

No oil. (Yet) which is nearly 2 hours from opening it.

Only the LED lights on the stands I haven't checked yet.


I'm leaving it for a while before I build them to see but it was blown dry in the box.

Well, after another 24 hours with the kitchen towel under the belt I have no oil at all, so I removed it this morning to see if it comes back (I'm guessing it will, but it's worth a try).

Oh and no powerful odours. The smell was so subtle it reminded me of opening the DX Joker box. A light newness smell.

Still no oil showing just over 2 hours now.

My guess is that the oil has gone into the towel because of it's capillary action, and then has evaporated.

I honestly don't think the ab is the source of the oil anyway.
I think it comes from the light grey part underneath the ab and rises up, just like oil would do if cloth was dipped into it.

Ok it has been a while since i checked on this batman DX02 have they pretty muched solved all the issues with it? can anyone tell me if they have been getting 2nd batch? thanks! : )
