I go back and forth with myself if I want to trade this figure for another figure. Ever since the release of the TDKR and armory figures, is there still value to this figure?

Its my first Hot Toys ever and I look at him and think to myself, this bat suit kinda sucks, but the movies are great so I’ll hold on to him.

IMO the DX12 is superior to this one but DX02 has the advantage of the sonar eyes so if you were to collect all different HT Bats, you wouldn't want to trade this one either.
Value wise, DX02 doesn't hold much value at all. In fact you'll get more from DX01.

Yea, was thinking about trading for an armored affleck or a reeves Superman, but if he doesn’t have he weight for a trade then nevermind. Welp, guess I’ll keep him.

If anyone has a regular cowl to sell or knows where to get one, please dm me. Mine took a fall on the shelf and I just raised the tip of the nose has a scuff.

Anyone who has the DX02 Batman, have you ever had the problem with the leaky abs? [as some collectors have had that problem].

There was a bunch of posts about this a few years back when people were getting them new. Mine was good -no issues here.

I've got the DX02, the DX12, the MMS155 and the Armory Batman. It's true that hot toys got progressively better with the suit (as you would expect), but I still really love the DX02. It's the only one with the sonar head and the flight pack, which I use alot.

Great picture BigWayne! :) [but why is the neck so long? Was it like this when you first got it, or did you extend the neck yourself?]

Yeah, that big neck is part of the charm ;)

I'm using a Tony Mei cape, which lays pretty flat, and really doesn't help distract from it. The standard cape bunches up a bit around the shoulders, so that would probably make the neck less noticeable.

You may be able to modify the neck to make it shorter, but that's where all of the electrical is located (bulb, switch, battery compartment). I got rid of the batteries and went to a soap studio wire and adapter, so maybe the switch area can be shortened. A few years ago, I saw someone made an aftermarket led head that had everything in it and just needed a "regular" neck adapter, so maybe you can find one of those. As I recall, the eyes were super-bright and it looked really cool.

In any case, he's usually on a higher shelf with his head tilted up like he's looking up the staircase towards the joker, so it's a bit less noticeable.

After buying the damaged DX02 Batman to go in the Tumbler. I grew to appreciate the figure so much I searched for a great deal on one that I could display on it's own wearing the Hong Kong backpack. Found a seller in Japan that accepted almost half of their asking price and ontop of that FedEx'd it here in less than a week .

I remember wanting a DX01 and DX02 so badly when I first got into collecting, but I missed the boat on both.
to be honest when i was out of collecting and seen the figure wasn't impressed . but having it in hand it's so much better than the photo's can capture . there is a real charm to it for sure worth all the $170 i paid for it :)
