Re: The Phantom Pain (Possibly MGS related?) - update - MGSV?

This is some serious next-gen trolling right now.

I like this idea that this guy got in some horrific accident and has to bandage his face up, but then calls a press conference in which he answers no questions. Like, I understand it's all for fun, but I mean, come on, it's pretty outrageous.

The theory that Joakim is actually a CG creation of the Fox Engine is pretty cool, and might make all of this worth it.

I'm sure that "press conference" was just a set-up and Geoff Keighley was in on it. Kojima has always been the biggest troll in gaming :lol. It's really neat that he's finding new ways to mess with our minds.

I love Liquid Snake, but Solid Snake needs more attention that Big Boss, period.

Big Boss is just a cry baby.

This :lecture

Re: The Phantom Pain (Possibly MGS related?) - update - MGSV?

His character is so stale and has been beaten to death with 3 games going on 4. His whole back story gets less interesting with each prequel.

Solid Snake is the king of MGS no matter what anyone says, and we don't really know much about his past aside from the archaic MSX games.

Not sure I agree about Big Boss. While I love Solid Snake, Big Boss often times seems more human to me.

I still haven't gotten around to starting Peace Walker, so I guess my opinion of him could change. As it stands though, I thought he was great in Snake Eater.

Totally disappointed by the Joakim "Interview", cant wait till GDC hopefully we get more than one trailer and a release date! Just over a week left!

Very true. Kojima is having a hard time making him interesting. The only character development that has happened was in MGS3 when he stepped upto the Boss. I really don't know why because he has the potential to be very interesting and different to Solid Snake.

Where Solid has had some great development which is evident in every instalment with him in it!

I think it's pretty much confirmed in the vid that Hayter won't be Snake this time around.

WHAT?!!! how can you not have hayter as snake. Thats like Ubi getting rid of Ironside as fisher it isn't the same

Even though he sounded different in the opening sequence, im hoping that was just a placeholder VA.
