Yeah, the guy has had some major bumps in the road. He's been working hard to stay clean though.

If I'm not mistaken, free agency is coming up for him. He'll get paid in full.

awesome to watch him do that last night. the big debate here isn't over the money, it's over the years that we offer him. with his history(both off the field and on) i think the rangers will be reluctant to go over 5 years and will let him walk if someone offers him more. also, he is 32 years old which is a major factor.

If Damon hadn't signed with the Indians the day before Ellsbury got hurt I could have seen them signing him in a panic move.
