They just aired a pretty long trailer that I hadn't seen during House; it only reinforces my thoughts on this film: this is another Cameron takes on the corporation theme (i.e. Aliens, Terminator 2). The visuals look bright and very similar to Feleucia - where Aayla Secura bites it. So the humans with conscience will revolt and take on the "machine."

:dunno

Think I'm going to avoid anymore clips and featurettes; the latter are interesting, but I'm starting to get worried that they're showing TOO much.

James Horner talking about the score for the film. BTW, Leona Lewis is doing the end credits song- "I See You"

I have noticed Fox pulling videos that dont even really spoil anything. They just want to have complete control. The two vids I posted yesterday are already down.

Just watched House and saw the trailer, it looks good, but the story is far far far far from anything original.

Its Dances With Wolves in space.

Still looking forward to it though.

I still say that the story is cliche and is supposed to give way for the visuals; neither of which have me too overwhelmingly enthused.

you know what else is cliche? comment like your. you're a LOTR fan, so let me ask you... what was about LOTR's story that was so original? all races uniting against one common evil. hmm... why does that sound so familiar?

but you know what? i absolutely love LOTR when i saw them. do i care that there's nothing original about the plot? heck no. know why? because all the details are new, because the way the story is presented is new, because at the end of the day there's no such thing as original story anymore, and the trick is to tell old ones through fresh eyes.

it doesnt matter if a film is derivative if it works. what matters is if it succeed in taking all these borrowed(or stolen, take your pick) elements and filtering them to make the story seem fresh. just like starwars, or the matrix, or indiana jones, or jaws, or district 9, or yes, LOTR.

Human beings have created but only a handful of truly unique stories, the rest are iterations with myriad details changed or updated, passed down through time. The themes usually remain similar. I remember reading that from a significant author back in school. That was long ago though, I don't remember the details.

Story of the knight, etc. etc.

Well said. Very true.

every movie is good vs evil. who cares. lol
There are good guys, then there are bad guys. deal with it, for this type of movie lol

We've seen Christmas Carol told a 100 times too, but not with CGI and 3D, and so now that's been done.
So now we're gonna see a new sci fi action movie like Star Wars, but with advancements in CGI and 3D.
