Not to be a hater, but how can this movie possibly succeed? And hey, I am curious about it..........but this is the first Cameron Event film that I am 'meh' on...

Hope it kicks butt, I truly do. We'll see

Even if it sucks, it's coming out without any real competition and people will see it just because of how much effects there are. Like 2012, if anything people like to see lots of effects.

Looking forward to watching 60 Minutes tonight, there will be a major feature on the making of Avatar.

:rock

I did see the action figures for this movie on display a few days ago at TRU, really weird packaging.

We need it to succeed.
I want to see a new franchise of SCI-FI movie, just so other studios see the potential of making new stories again and not giving us sequels and re-boots

Having seen the trailers for this movie I have zero interest in seeing it.

Thanks Red! I just watched. Definitely is making me look forward to this movie more. I have faith in James Cameron.

OJ as the Terminator hahahahaha!, that was a funny little bit.

The 60 Mins piece was ok, it didn't really get me anymore excited for the film; but had some nice bits.

I was hoping for some shout outs to Weta though. :angelsmil

There are lots of featurettes out there now. Check out marketsaw.com for the latest and greatest on Avatar before anyone else.

Nice to see so many more people stopping by this thread now.

About the original vs. unoriginal debate....does it really matter. The packaging and entertainment value is what matters. I'm guilty of this too at times but its easy to over analyze.

Can't wait for this movie! Really pumped! If you cant tell by now, this movie has a special quality to it and is the kind of movie many of us have been waiting years for and will hopefully give hollywood a wakeup call to stop with reboots and reworks and remakes (some of which arent bad)-

If you arent already excited by what you have seen then I really dont think any amount of trailers, featurettes, or making ofs will change your mind.

Im almost looking more forward to this than Christmas...lol

Wait, I think I am

Same. Not sure why either!? Hell it's an action movie after all. Just seems really hokey to me. Could be wrong.

To me it just looks like a pretentious piece that Cameron wants to make a "statement" with more than an entertaining film. Just my opinion.

Yet another video I cannot allow myself to watch as it contains more new footage, but I hear its a really good informative interview
