My vid review is now up:

Love the bright and refreshing look of the figure in my collection. Clamshell can be closed again, though not "sealed". The space backdrop is actually not that bad, really sturdy. All in all pretty happy with Stan. Paint app on the rock moon structure could be better and the leg articulation is a bit restricted, but you'll def. get him in the sitting pose somehow.

Some shots:

Very nice review Xenomorph.

Personally I don't think you can assume it's all a money making exercise. I mean you can, and that's one way to take it. But on the other hand so many of the people involved (Howard Chan included) incredibly respect Stan Lee and understand if it wasn't for him they would not have had a chance with their success.

So I take the view that this is clearly a cool tribute to the man. Yes there will be scalpers, but mine will be a tribute to Stan and all he achieved. So I'm at peace with that.

Imagine they did nothing to respect the man.

Yup, of course I totally see the positive side as well. And man I'm def happy to finally have a Stan in the collection as well, and in this suit he blends in perfectly among all hero characters.
It's not the overall idea of have him as a premium action figure as commercial product, it's rather the price markup of +70 USD / + 25% compared to the first Stan (see the original product page of sideshow - it went for USD 199) that left me feeling like this.

Thanks for watching. :)

Yes, true. I can understand that perspective too.

I went on the SSC waitlist a couple weeks ago and was able to order it yesterday evening; I didn't receive the normal SSC conversion email though...

I really wanted the original had a deal with a guy then week after he bailed as stan died then whacked the price up to ?1000.
Sadly not a fan of the space suit but just bought Woo toys version so looking forward too seeing how he looks.

hmm, Woo Toys looks very cool. Outfit is very stylish. Since this looks like a unlicensed product, I think the head sculpt is recast of Hot Toys.
last year, I was very lucky to get, only displayed HT Stan Lee, from a RPF member for about $155 shipped. Yeap, I got lucky
but I wouldn't also mind the Woo Toys, but my only issue is the price.
But maybe we might see knockoff head sculpts on Ebay, for affordable or cheap prices.

anyways by chance I checked sidesbow for the GOTG stan lee and preorder was open. But I got no email and I only had 12hours decide. Looks like only message was on Sideshows site and it was posted two days ago.
This is my first preorder on Sideshow
so, have questions for you regular buyers
when do you guys think my card will get charged?
And I thought shipping was would be free, I live CA, what might be shipping to CA?

and I was not going to preorder, shipping was putting me off but preorder gives me time to save cash on expensive items.

I'm going out on a limb, shipping from sideshow wont be free even though you are in california.

You will get a processing email telling you when they are going to charge your card, which is nice. You will still have a couple of days from that point to change or cancel.

I cant type for other members here but I feel that sideshow really takes advantage of customers when it comes to shipping 1/6 scale products at least. Not only do they charge me fed ex - like prices, the packages usually have an outdate of a week to get to me, which is as slow or maybe even slower than standard mail. One advantage for you in CA is your package should arrive quickly.

Got the Woo Toys Stan today - makes up for a good challenge for the Hot Toys one. Not as sharp and paintjob not there yet, but competition is growing (if you can accept the missing license)!

Here it's very obvious who's the master in the business (hair, seamline):

I'm on the hunt for a Woo Toys one. I should've preordered, I think it was like $130 or so? I can't find it anywhere near that right now, only options are eBay that I can see.

Its about time a woo toys product made it out. Its the only reason I havent ordered their thor figure.

[emoji2955] Not sure what others are seeing in the Woo Toys version. Maybe theyre just convincing themselves its good because its a much lower price point. The sculpt looks like a recast, and the paint is too dark. He looks like hes trying out for WWE and got a spray tan. Or maybe hes actually Stan Lees stand-in, Esteban Lopez?
