I have a feeling the deluxe is gonna go fast, given all the bonus accessories you get that everyone ACTUALLY wants... anyone think a day 1 waitlist? Or will it last a little longer?

IDK why but I'm getting annoyed with this Standard and Deluxe version of everything lately. Can't we just have 1 figure, with good accessories, for a decent price?

Little longer... though I think it has a chance to buy Easter Monday, Im putting an order in as soon as my local retailer puts him up and finally going to pull the trigger on Rocket.

Totally agree Im glad I kept the original team, but I would like the powering on helmet option even though I know it wont fit on the first version

Im surprised to see a few comments preferring the first. The only thing i prefer from the first is the sculpt. Gotta admit it looks a lil better

I actually like this head sculpt, I think it looks pretty good, though I question the use of the thin sideburns in the movie. Never noticed it ever in the trailers or posters, not until now.

Deluxe set is the way to go, however, I'm happy with the first Star Lord. I'm sticking with original figures for my display, no need to upgrade to Vol. 2.

All the extra bits are really nice ( lil groot, short jacket, activated mask etc)... but think ill just be sticking with the first for me. Sideburns looks great too

Although I agree the 1st sculpt captures his personality better. I remember people thinking that was off too. The problem is, any time you put any kind of emotion into it you risk losing the likeness. So I think HT was just playing it safe. But Chris Pratt always has some kinda goofy look on his face. Same thing with Ant-man. Paul Rudd is always smiling so when you give him a straight face, it just looks off.
One minor nit-pick (not HT fault) but I just don't like Star Lord's side burns. I hate that look. It seems so arrogant and...snooty. Really? you're gonna leave a line of hair on cheek JUST to p!ss people off, really?

I think the boots on the 1st figure looked cooler, even tho there was no ankle articulation. Also I just noticed he doesn't have the thrusters on his boots anymore because he has the jet pack. I like little details like that. Is there any picture of the back of his Jet pack?

Looks like Pratt to me... I think people just aren't used to seeing him with such a morose facial expression.
Still it makes me wonder if the activating helm could also work on the first sculpt.

The whole set looks great and wouldn't hesitate to buy but that head sculpt though....Who is that supposed to be lmao.
It's like the Wonder Woman head sculpt. It doesn't look like Gal though this one isn't as bad..
