you folks using them oils and creams for damage control should post some pics before and after, then post it here.
that way you guyz give each other a heads up with what works and what to avoid.
 
Well...cornerstore just exchanged my old ED for a new one:lol:lol. I was told by Jedster at Famcon that this silicone lube should do the trick.

Ok, apologies for not keeping up on this, but has anyone who applied some kind of silicone lubricant or rubber protector to their Ed-209's STILL had deterioration regardless, or is it (so far) considered a fix?
 
How's the Honda shin-etsu Grease holding up? It's on sale on amazon so I was gonna buy it today.

so far so good with mine, cant say for certain its why my ed hasnt cracked
but, i wasnt going to sit there and find out!

The Honda grease been working great for me also. I had my Ed209 inside my detolf for over a month now and no cracks, no nothing.
 
I'm happy with my neca ed-209, no rotting rubber worries at all with it, + don't take up much space either.
