I was just about to and then it slid in, where it wouldn't even go in at all before .... soooo just hope and pray it works one day

The right heel on mine sits flat with base. Shoe tread on outter edge rises very slightly.

Put it on his right arm, go over the head. You have to lift the scarf just a touch to get it under there where it touches shoulder. Then you should be able to pull it back and get the peg in the side. Takes a little bit of work, but you never have to be in fear of damaging it, just take your time.

Your heel definitely touches the base more than mine.

I just reviewed your pic. Is the post in all the way? No debris in the slot? If you can't get it to seat fully, and don't feel comfortable tweaking it yourself to fit properly, I'd contact Sideshow. Hopefully they get you squared away.
