The only people who really care about the nudity, are the ones that complain about the nudity.

I don't think the show has to have nudity, but I don't care either way. I just don't understand how it can bother so many people. It's just a pair of boobs every now and then. Who cares.

I love nudity in shows, just adds more of an adult feel, and l prefer adult shows, so they go together perfecty, and wouldn't feel the same wthout it. Such as Sopranos, Boardwalk Epire, Deadwood, an Game Of Thrones. Those shows are so much better with beasts here and there, it's then the whole package.

That's what l hated about "Sons Of Anarchy", it had a pussyness feel to it at times (i know it was the network), but it had no breasts (even in the porn studio). I mean the only bare *** we saw in that show is Jax,

Some of the sex and nudity has valid story elements and plot points to it, but most of the time they are just showing nudity for nudity's sake and because they can. If it plays an actually part in the story, that's OK, but to make someone naked just because they felt like it isn't needed. Bronn's naked gal on his lap when they were singing and the Hound walked in during the second season comes to mind. Zero reason she had to be naked in that scene. And useless stuff like that just detracts from the show rather than adding.

Comparing it to violence, it would like them slitting a guys throat just because they wanted to add a bit color to the scene or something. If killing the guy added to the plot or helped define a character's ruthlessness, then fine. But chopping someone up just because is just like them having naked girls hanging around because they can.

I love the show, but I do feel the gratuitous nudity is a very weak spot in the series in general. Just because you can show something doesn't mean you should or have to. Stories can be told without being so blatant.

That little bastard is the most unlikable villain I've seen in years. Credit to him and the other guys behind GOT for making that work. I could more easily get behind any of the LOTR bad guys.

It's a fact that prostitution was ripe back then and amongst lords etc it's seems only natural to the time that there would be that amount of nudity and prostitutes with important people

True, but I prefer likeable villains. I just don't like that kid, which is the point. I like when villains have charisma or likeable qualities, it makes them more real. Not every "bad guy" or bad person or the antagonist should be this nasty POS.

Joffrey is despicable and not really compelling. I'd rather see him get the axe than anything else. Now the Governor from Walking Dead, that's a great Television villain.

I actually like the GoT music better than LotR, which I never imagined would be possible. The show is just all-around superior IMO.

Agreed. Now that I think about it, never seeing a naked woman in GoT would be kind of odd. It does add a certain realism to the period.

Likeable villains are the only villains we have nowadays. It's nice to see some TRUE villains that you actually want to beat the **** out of.

Didn't list Sauron from LOTR. Didn't list the guy from Last Action Hero from GOT. I'm aware that there are more than one villain.



Joffrey is the only memorable one as far as I'm concerned. Same with Saruman. That's why I listed em.

Not necessarily. Not every villain is likeable, but I do prefer them.


The last couple of villains from the past two summer film blockbusters have been downright awful and they were far from likeable.

For you maybe. I thought old Phillip was great. As "meh" as Season 3 was and as lame as the season finale was, I loved that the Gov escaped alive. Not to mention he mowed down all those annoying Woodsbury folks.

Boddiker was pure evil but Gruber had charisma in spades! Hell he might have even been the original Ledger Joker/Loki/etc.

Well no, when I say likeable of course I don't mean I'm rooting for them to kick John McClane or Murphy's ***, but still. Boddiker was a cop killer after all.


They just have that great attitude and character about them that keeps them from being vile turds that you want to see put down.
