Found out today "offically" that some of this movie was filmed during the Rim of the Pacific RIMPAC exercise in 2010. Shots of the big fleet mostly. Kinda cool I think. I was part of a Marine landing force on the LHD 6 right behind the carrier. Couldn't see it in the trailer. I was on the flight deck while the ships were forming up for the shooting and remember that the USS Reagan was right in front of us.

Anyway, a "meh" movie at best. I guess the Navy needed their own Battle L.A.

I am all about action movies and will probably see this one in theater either local or mine on blu . When the alien flies over the kid, umm LTJG it really does look like transformers.

Wow....looks like Dookie. My main concern is what the hell Liam Neeson is doing in this movie. Has he now reached the point where he's just collecting paychecks before he announces his retirement?
