Many bands that have lost members and gained new ones have gone on to even greater success

Killswitch Engage

Genesis

AC/DC

Cannibal Corpse

Sepultura

only to name a few, I'm sure the list goes on....

I don't care what anyone says..Max Calvera was Sepultura..their newer singer Derrick* or whatever(black guy) nice guy for sure but, he sucks and reminds me of Sevendust singer..i did see them at the Warehouse in Toronto back in like 98 or 99..Seputura will always be with Max for me, that SoulFly garbage i refuse to remember and hell well..i have moved on from Sepultura years ago as i can't stand political music.I would rather listen to songs about fantasy...after all, music should be an escape.

I've always thought Chris Cornell had one of the greatest rock vocals ever, but his voice has sounded really shreaded to me since Down On The Upside. But I'd still probably really enjoy new Soundgarden. And after the way Chris' last solo effort got trashed, I'd say it's about time. His solo stuff was very underwhelming to say the least..

That last one was complete ****, Scream really pissed me off.
Chris not only has a great voice but he's also a damn good guitar player as well, and Scream had no guitars.
I'll admit that Chris' first solo album Euphoria Morning was great, it all went down hill from there.

Oh, it's all good. What are your favorite Queensryche albums?

ooh tough question, its varies based on my mood. If I'm feeling for something raw, I really like The Warning a lot. If I want something crisp, sonic, and well produced I like Empire.

But in the end I guess I have to say a perfect blend of both = Operation Mindcrime and therefore thats my favorite.

Even more than QR, I really really love a Queensryche inspired band called Fates Warning. If anyone can rival Geoff Tate, this is it.

Best Soundgarden album IMO is SuperUnknown, with my favorite track on that album being 4th of July probally..so many good songs on that one.Jesus Christ Pose is another good song.Anything after SuperUnkown, i found hard to get into..Pretty Noose was alright but..meh.

I remember enjoying this album when i was 14yrs old.

What a great live band (when Geoff was having a good vocal day). Saw Livecrime and it was amazing. For me, it's:

1) Mindcrime
2) Rage For Order
3) Empire
4) Warnning
5) EP w/ Queen of the Ryche (LOVE that song!)

Yeah, SuperUnknown is a GREAT album. I like almost every track. Pretty Noose had some good stuff, but it didn't come close to SuperUnknown. I've been really disapponted with Cornell's solo stuff and much of the Audioslave catalog. But as I said, his voice just doesn't sound the same to me these days. There are songs where he almost has a Brian Johnson quality to his voice, which is fine, but it's not vintage Chris.

I've seen Queensryche a few times, but never during their best days. Unfortunately, I have to say the same for most bands I've seen live, Maiden, Rush, Roger Waters, Priest, Tull, Yes...I was born 15-20 years too late to see these guys in their prime.

HungerStrike was the only good Temple of the Dog song and it was a great collaboration between Soundgarden and Pearl Jam members.

Speaking of collaborations of grunge bands, how about Mad Season.

The first Mad Season Album is awesome.

As far as Alice in Chains... I won't get it. I was really into them with their first 3 albums but stopped listening to them afte that.

sepultura's last two albums 'Dante XXI' and 'A-Lex' are fantastic IMO, no political references whatsoever, Dante XXI is Inspired by Alighieri's "La Comidia Divina" and A-Lex is insprieed by A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. I know it takes some getting used to new singers, like Drowning Pool, or Mushroomhead, but i fecking love the new Sepultura. :banana

you have a lot of black and white opinions.

Temple of the Dog was amazing, as was Andrew Wood... a very creative, inspired vocalist to which it was dedicated to...

yeah, I liked Temple/Dog, but Hunger Strike is probably one of my top 10 hated songs of all time ....

I liked Temple of the Dog quite a bit too. It's one of those albums I managed to lose over the years and keep meaning to pick it up again. Several good songs IMO. Wasn't as fond of Mad Season, but found a couple songs I could listen to.

reeehheeheeelaay! :lol..nah!.

The first Mad Season Album is awesome.

They had more than one?

I'm really digging Check My Brain. It's so refreshing to hear more music like I enjoy, but new. I love AIC, but the same songs over time can get a bit stale, it's nice to have something brand new of the same caliber.

i remember seeing AIC when they were a make-up wearing "glam" band and less than a year later they were knocking me on my butt with stuff like "We Die Young". the original line up never failed to impress and i would love to revisit even a fraction of that chemistry with their new line up.

Sorry if you've already posted it, but did you like what you heard of the new stuff?
