Well I bet one of you or someone in this discussion got that $50 coupon from SSC a couple of months ago (seems like most did.)

I didn't get that either - despite buying the ATAT driver, Jawas and Luke Snowspeeder (plus HT preorders.)
 
I wonder if SSC will accept all returns? I've never had to return anything to SSC or seen this many unhappy folks.

Yes, they do have to honor their 30 day return policy.

Some people might have to make a case for not paying for shipping if they don't specify the quality issues and their figures are technically undamaged. But the quality is so poor that I think most figures will have some issues they can use as arguments.

Everyone needs to make it known they're returning because of poor quality and not because they changed their mind about wanting it.

Majority of the in-hand IG-88's I've seen have the leg cable issue and the loose ribbed elbow joint cover issue. Poor paint is universal.

This isn't unprecedented. Some of Sideshow's past offerings have had widespread quality control issues. The Premium Format Rogue face and Psylocke legs come to mind.

I didn't get that either even after ordering the entire HT OT cast and their R2 in a 4 month span.

I haven't gotten anything either and I having been ordering from SS for 12 years now. Wondering people are referring to the Holiday thing where you have to write about how you deserve a product from SS? They give you the impression you can request specific products but they actually have 4 or 5 different things to choose from at their discretion but het it's free.
 
I was also denied the $50 coupon. After 12 years of buying from them with the same account. And never a glitch with my credit card in that time nor ever a returned figure.

No. They do get so many requests that they will pick and choose among all the entries, but they will give you what you ask for if your story is compelling and what you're asking for is actually in stock. I asked for a HT Godfather figure for my mom on the Sideshow Holiday Giveaway and they sent one.

I received the $50 coupon. Just looked at my order history and it might be because i POed/Purchased 7 figs in 5 consecutive months?
 
I asked SSC why I didn't get the $50 coupon and they simply said "not everyone got one." Didn't seem to be any qualifying thing.

I bought three SSC figs (including the near-$300 value Snowspeeder Luke) plus PO'ed or recieved three HT figs all within probably 9-12 months and didn't get it.
 
I asked them that time and quote that reply somewhere on this forum, it says something like "bla bla only customers bla bla certain conditions bla bla". Nothing specific. A bit weird. Good vendor would say "you should do/buy XY to qualify for the next time, thank you for your interest bla bla". But no. They don't give a damn.

No, I got one and buy the occasional figure from them only. However, I've been in their system as a customer since their Jedi Luke initial offering, so maybe the qualifier was a timeframe thing

Been shopping with Sideshow since 2004... I got no $50 coupon. So there goes that theory.

All they care about is new business and deep pockets. So I figured that's who got the $50 -- the guys who order a lot, statues included, and have few cancelations. But Matt's history doesn't seem to reflect that.
 
So, random luck like when they box in a free figure, which I don't think they've done for a couple years.

One guy recently got a free Death Trooper specialist if I recall correctly. They work in mysterious ways.
 
Anyone hear back from SSC about returning this $h1t?
