It was stupid. Making a Symbiote God was dumb but making Venom a God as well was even worse. The whole thing was bad and this is what happens when: A) a character becomes really popular. Marvel milks the hell out of them and basically ruins them, and B) when a bad writer is given free reign to do as they please.

Sorry, I prefer good material and that’s something Marvel hasn’t released in a long time

No, the Lethal Protector run gave Venom depth. Dealing with his complicated relationship with Spider-Man and others such as his ex gave him depth, as did his struggle with his past actions.

Making him some goofy God with a goofy storyline is just ridiculous. It’s just weird seeing people defend this stuff, much like the Sequel Trilogy.
