    Doctor Who - Spoilers!

My wife actually tackled this one. He was separated from the TARDIS and the time vortex for 300 years. Her theory is that the constant exposure slowed his aging process and/or kept him at a steady age.

    Apple vs. Android

I do believe there are. Definitely Gmail. I would imagine Drive as well. I believe the one that took longest to make transition to iOS was Google Play Music, but that is also now on there. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

    Apple vs. Android

Android for me. I won't support Apple because I don't agree philosophically with their business model nor their patent trolling (although not all of it was without merit). I don't like the lack of customization in iOS. I don't like being forced into Apple's ecosystem (I am heavily invested in...

Ditching Cable....need some advice (re: streaming device)

We bought one on its first day of release and absolutely LOVED it... ...at least until a few weeks later when it started acting strange and we found it was running so hot it could easily burn to the touch! I would check it often to make sure yours doesn't run hotter than it should.

Ditching Cable....need some advice (re: streaming device)

Personally, my wife and I use NEITHER device. Instead, we opted for a Sony Blu-Ray player with built-in WiFi and a suite of apps including NetFlix, Hulu Plus, etc. It has been more than sufficient for us, and there's the added bonus that it's a Blu-Ray disc player. Not sure if that is an...

    Doctor Who - Spoilers!

Sounds interesting, but it also sounds like way too much to fit in a single 45 minute episode (excluding the commercials). Unless it ends up being a cliffhanger into the 50th Anniversary special coming in November. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD

    Doctor Who - Spoilers!

It's the British way of saying "Season Finale", yes. Show's not ending. :)

    Doctor Who - Spoilers!

Agreed. It's also getting a bit tired and thin that every episode has a moment when Clara is suddenly an integral part of saving the day from out of nowhere--integral to the point where the Doctor would fail without her. It wasn't as pronounced in COLD WAR, but the whole sending her in to...

    Hannibal

Just read an interview with series creator Bryan Fuller who indicated that, in the road map for the series, RED DRAGON is essentially Season 3. I'm thinking that they'll adapt the Dollarhyde story so that Lecter hasn't been outed yet. He also explained why they can't use Starling and the...

J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness

With regards to Horner only scoring two films, I recently read that he was asked back for UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY, and he declined, saying something insinuating that his career was above doing TREK anymore (lousy attitude IMO). As for the transwarp drive, I don't remember Scotty's sabotage being...

    Most rewatchable movies?

12 Angry Men (original Henry Ford version) Big Lebowski Dante's Peak Explorers Ghostbusters Jaws Jurassic Park Psycho Shawshank Redemption Skyfall Tremors Vertigo They're the only ones I can think of right now.

J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness

Is that Cumberbatch speaking those lines? I thought it sounded like Bruce Greenwood (Capt. Pike), which would make a lot more sense.

    Movie Mistakes / Snafus

It's actually not a genuine mistake but rather remnants of a deleted sequence that wasn't fully edited out of the movie. According to behind-the-scenes info, the T-Rex didn't kill the crew. Velociraptors got aboard the ship, and they killed the crew. That, however, was not included in the...

What movie moments made you so emotional you felt the need to shed a tear? *SPOILERS*

JURASSIC PARK - "Welcome to Jurassic Park..." and then Grant sees all the Brachiosaurs in the lagoon. Those visuals plus Williams' beautiful theme still gets me overwhelmed...even two weeks ago during the 3D IMAX trailer. SAVING PRIVATE RYAN - "Tell me I'm a good man..." ROBOCOP - Robocop...

    Hurricane Sandy/Frankenstorm

Think we're about as prepared as we can be up here in Northeastern PA. Charging up all our Droid devices so 1) we'll have enough power in our phones provided the cell network doesn't go down and 2) we'll be able to listen to music as a distraction. Dropped important files in Dropbox in case...

FAIL! Wilkes-Barre/Scranton region of Pennsylvania--essentially the ENTIRE Northeastern quadrant of the state--has been left out in the cold. :(
