I really think that most of the Olivetti pieces will do pretty well down the road as far as prices in the secondary market, especially Hulk and Spidey.

Congrats!! I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of the last ones we hear about. Prices are starting to creep up on these, too... regulars selling for $500.

The Hulk PF is an awesome piece. While I would rather have fully sculpted pieces, that's beside the point on this one. Amazing sculpt, classic Kirby look, great paint applications, and an all-around solid/heavy piece. This is one that's worth every penny.

Not so much... Flipping is alive and well. I couldn't care less about the quality of pieces I have no intention of keeping. If the paint falls off of a piece that I flipped 6 months ago, too bad. I just have a problem when a Spidey statue that I planned on keeping appears to have been painted by...

Sadly, it might actually solve some of the QC issues if they offered to sell unpainted statues. Heck, we could probably end up with a lot better paint in many circumstances.

They might just need a new paint factory.

Someone really needs to jump in the ring with Sideshow at this point. They've cornered the market on high-end collectibles and they know it. Without anyone else to put the heat on them, it's no wonder they've let things slide.

Good point. Now that they're requiring deposits for pre-orders, Sideshow REALLY needs to step it up a notch in the QC department. If they're going to continue with that policy, but can't replicate the prototype, they're going to have trouble keeping customers.

At times, yes. Many times, yes. Hell... most times, yes. BUT if enough wheels start squeaking, hopefully Sideshow does something before they (WE) all fall off.
