As long as the Amy & Rory era of the 11th Doctor is switched over to the "Classic" line (which remains 5"), this is ok, but, I won't be buying the tiny (3.75") figures.
5" was already too small. I preferred the 7" figures of Battlestar Galactica, or the 6" of Buffy. At 5", the Doctor Who...
3 episodes? The entire last season of Buffy. That's more episodes than the actors in Firefly.
Haters gotta hate, but Felicia Day is part of the core Whedon group, as much as Nathan Fillion.
And if you need another Whedon connection, the music for "Do You Wanna Date My Avatar", from which this...
Felicia Day is one of Joss' core players. She was the nerdy slayer in the last season of Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and she was the lead love interest, Penny, in Joss and Jed Whedon's Dr. Horrible. She was also in the two-part post-series, post-apocalyptic episodes of Joss Whedon's...
If the dryer sheet doesn't work, try putting the figure in a ziplock bag with coffee grinds. You'll end up with a combination of the original smell, and the smell of coffee, the latter of which will HOPEFULLY dominate. It is one of the few tricks available to mask the smell of mold in cars if a...
That's right, both the Nostromo and the Spinners used the same data screens with the "PURGE" text. But Ridley can go either way with it. Same future, different future, whatever.
Re: New Doctor Who Figures?
They seem really into the whole Flesh mask thing. The flesh 2-parter was not that good. It tried to rip off Blade Runner but was so amateurish in every "original" respect...
Anyway, might get River.
Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 announcement!
As long as there's a 1960s-esque skirt involved, it'll be a great outfit!
(Has she ever worn pants on the show, come to think of it?)
I preferred the art nouveau work of 11th Hour. She's made an amazing Inara painting a couple years ago. And she'd done a t-shirt for QMx. I am disappointed that QMx did not hire her to do her thing for these posters. These are good, but not great.
Re: New Doctor Who Figures?
Nothing on the River box says it is a SDCC exclusive. It is probably just arriving at SDCC early, compared to when regular retailers will get it. So in a temporal sense it is exclusive...
Re: Dr Who 1:6 Scale and 1:4 scale Collectibles
I'm sure it is a misunderstanding, and I've made an inquiry.
Looking forward to updates on the design process and the manufacturing saga, and everything else involved in the production -- where ever this thread ends up!
Re: Dr Who 1:6 Scale and 1:4 scale Collectibles
They're the production company, not an etailer.
I mean yeah, also they sell their products direct (or plan to), but so does DST and Sideshow etc.
That is plastic softeners leaching out. There is no way to stop it. Google "plastic softeners" or "plasticizers".
Or here, just read this:
