Really? I've heard so much negativity, but I have not seen it in person so I cant judge too harshly, the pics of the elongated looking head made me hold back, and some of them look awful. I ended up getting GTG and figured that was good enough. I love the Grey figure though. That being said...

Yeah , when I first saw this Pippin, I thought it was a joke. I don't get it. I actually didn't have a problem with the original release. It's not perfect, but still a nice figure. This one looks like a step back, IMO.

both of these would be nice. I'd have more use for the cart. But realistically speaking, they will probably release more main character figures before either of these. If they are going to release an animal/beast figure, it would probably be Shadowfax or maybe a Warg. They'd sell more of those.

Looks nice!... except for the head sculpt. I never picked this guy up because the head bothered me and I figured GTG would be coming out soon, which did eventually happen and Gray will display better with the fellowship than this guy. I still may pick him up though since he is still available...

I was actually pretty satisfied with the original versions, it was just the skin tone that was off. Was also wondering about rooted hair. This is something that has never really been seriously considered for any of the hobbits. Is this too difficult to pull off?

I went ahead and ordered the slim to make sure I get the new head. I'll try to resale it on EBay maybe (minus the head), or maybe part it out to get some of my money back.
