Been watching the despecialized editions again this week preparing for The Force Awakens. I think this is my favorite blu ray set that I own. I hope Harmy finishes ROTJ 2.0 soon.
Yeah but maybe they sell the rights of Star Wars: Episode IV to Disney for major bucks? I am curious if they will be able to release all 9 films together in a boxset or say Get Lost to Disney?
Since Disney bought Lucasfilm has there been any new news on releasing the unaltered trilogy on blu ray supervised by Harmy?
You would think they would push that with all the upcoming Star Wars films.
Why am I watching the Return of the Jedi Special Edition? This Jedi Rocks song is TERRIBLE. Why didn't he leave in Lapti Nek? I don't understand you George.
Back to my complaints of the special edition after watching the wonderful despecialized editions. One of the best scenes in Empire Strikes Back is the Falcon escaping from cloud city after rescuing Luke. For some strange reason, Lucas decided to add Vader in his shuttle flying to the executor...
Watched The Empire Strikes Back: Despecialized edition again over the weekend. Man I cannot stand the added scene of Vader arriving on his Star Destroyer while the Falcon is being chased while leaving Cloud City. It detracts from the pacing of that scene.
Thanks again JJJ for getting me those...
One of the great things I love about the despecialized edition is not the overload of CGI that Lucas put in for the Mos Eisley Spaceport when doing the special editions. He ruined something that was originally perfect.
I recently picked up Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on Xbox. Playing that game and then watching the despecialized editions really makes for a relaxing and fun time.
