Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Sells? Are people actually paying that much for it? :lol

I hope DCC eventually releases the figure individually. I could care less about the box or the female cop figure.
Yeah, I could have cared less for a Montoya figure. The one I was most excited to get was Killer Croc. The price didn't hurt me to bad since I had a 20% off coupon for my local comic book store.
No, at the time I thought the set was a way for them to ask for more money because of the box and the cop figure, which I didn't want...and still don't want. Every other figure in the line was individually released, so I decided to wait for them to release them individually, after all they were all major characters, so why wouldn't they release them individually? They released The Creeper and that chick with the rocket, but not 4 main characters from BTA? Weird. If they don't release them, no big deal. I just won't buy any of the latest figures or any that I'm still missing. No point, if 4 main villains from the show are missing. The collection was/is never going to be complete anyways, since Alfred was released with the batcave, and that's just too big of a set for me to buy. :)
Yeah..I didn't care for the much higher price they stamped on it due to a box with lights. Had no interest in it. I mean I have it on display with the Bat signal on top, but it still looks like a box and not a diorama. I did end up getting the Batcave, but don't know what to really do with it as far as figures go..other than one of my Batman's in the chair and Alfred. Seems kinda lonely with only two figures. With all of the excitement for these new figures coming out, I think there might be a resurgence of new life with the line. Patience will be your friend and I think you'll get rewarded eventually. I'm sure the single carded releases will come up with more accessories that were severely lacking with boxed set. Croc should have came with the chain w/hook, a pitchfork & rifle. Ivy's wrist cross-bow should have been painted correctly. The Nora figure should have been painted in the snow globe, etc. With all that, plus the demand for these 4 main villians, it's only a matter of time.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

So, now that we’ve seen them unleash a colossal outpouring of some of our most wanted figures, what’s at the top of your lists, now? If this was it for the line, I would be content, but, if I had to make a list:
TAS:
-Bruce Wayne and **** Grayson
-The Clock King
-Jonah Hex
-Rupert Thorne

TNBA:
-Legends of the Dark Knight Silver Age **** Sprang 3-pack with Batman, Robin, and Joker

The box was definitely an unnecessary gimmick, but around it's solicitation and release is when the line was coming to a halt. So to me from the very beginning it looked like they were trying to minimize losses on a planned single card wave in getting people to buy them all in one shot, and I didn't expect a separate release of any of them. Where as that awful Creeper figure snuck in while the line was still going full steam. Buying the set still wasn't an easy pill to swallow, and I got both of mine during comic shop sales.

Things are looking up again though and you can never say never. I don't think I'd expect straight up single carded releases though. I feel like they could milk it pretty good with 2 packs.

Poison Ivy/Harvey Dent
Bane/Rupert Thorne
Mr.Freeze/Herbert Walker
Croc/uhhh TAS Baby Doll? (I know it doesn't make sense but :p)
Montoya/Gotham Swat Officer

Or hell maybe with the DC Sub service they can get out single carded versions that way.

Yes, crazy to think the set was around 140.00 and now goes for $400-450. Check ebays ended listings. Bonkers!

Only two I really want besides the upcoming Scarcrow and Two-Face:
Anthony Romulus & Tygrus

I LOVE the anthropomorphic characters..especially one who's a werewolf and werecat. Catwoman in her feline form from that 'Island of Dr. Monroe' episode w/Tygrus would be perfect.

DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Seems like a few sets were picked up on sale at y’all’s LCS. After work, around four pm, the day the Gotham Rogue’s set released, I went straight to my LCS; they’d already sold the one and only set they would ever receive. They also only received a couple of each Batmobile and Batcave. I never even saw the Batwing there either. Which seems silly to me because they still keep multiples of the majority of this collection in stock.
Then, I decided if I’d have to order it online, I’d get it from the same place I ordered the Batmobile and Batwing below retail. By then, that site was sold out and most places that still had it hiked up the price a bit. Thought I’d wait for some sort of coupon, but any that arose couldn’t get the set down to retail. Before I knew it, the only place I could find it was eBay. Someone here pointed out to me that Amazon had it for $240, but I wasn’t willing to dish out the extra $100 when I felt there was still hope for a future rerelease of the figures. We shall see.

I'm hoping the batcave drops again on Amazon. Had a 100 gc even at the time, but passed cause of space issues. But now i'm kicking myself and if given the chance, I'll just sleep in it, I don't care.

The bat cycle Bats looks like a completely new body design, yes it was probably intentional so it could fit on the cycle

But I hope they use this new design in upcoming ideas

So the image above is the one that's up for pre-order on Amazon? I've been confused because they have that other artwork on there.

Here’s an updated link:

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

How appropriate with an October release date..Halloween :lol

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

So, does anybody else here have a backlog they still need to get around to picking up? The Superman two-pack, the Girls Night Out 5-pack (which is, like, super cheap, now), the Mad Love 2-pack, TAS Batgirl, and TNBA Riddler are what I’m missing outside of the GCPD set and the Batcave.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I might be off by a couple, but I also need more than I thought I did.

-Bullock
-Ras al Ghul
-Talia
-TAS Batgirl
-Ventriloquist
-Zatanna
-Clayface

-TNBA Joker
-TNBA Catwoman
-TNBA Harley/Girls Night Out Set

Pretty sure i'll get the Batcave. Still undecided on the Batwing.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

That Blu-ray set looks great, but I'm really only interested in the discs themselves.

Hmmm... bite the bullet and order this set to ensure I get one, or take the risk that they'll eventually sell a disc-only set at a later date but for less money...

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I sold off my Zatanna figure, as I have no memory/connection to her in BTAS.

The only thing I'm missing from the BTAS line that I'd like to add to my shelf is the Alfred figure, but I have no space/do not want the entire Batcave set.

I will definitely be making room (somehow) for the Grey Ghost, Hardac, and Scarecrow figures, and I need to decide if I sell off my TNBA Two-Face (which I bought thinking they would never release a BTAS version) or just keep it, since that character's design changed so little when BTAS became TNBA.
