In an interview with Howard today in ACGHK preview night, he told TOYSTVhk that it is highly possible that the JL Batmobile may be released as "STATUE" rather than plastic model car due to the difficulties and expensive in producing the mold.

What else did he say? Anything of interest? Is there an English translation?

It was a interview in Chinese by the guys on the couch that do in boxing and reviews.

Statue? Hmmm....then you'd have to assume it wouldn't be functional so it'd probably light up but the wheels wouldn't move/spin or the doors open, might not even bother with detailed insides past what you can see trough the windows.

The thing is that I don't think they'd reduce the price of it even though it's a jump down from the previous Batmobile.

Not many! A lot of guys talk a good game but when it's time to pay the piper, no dice.

I doubt HC & HTs produce this thing. We've seen all that we are going to see from HTs on a working BM. Maybe if they shrunk it down by half the size and gave us some sh|t 6" figures.... That could be a hit!

Maybe they saw the Prime1 BvS BM and pricing and they are trying to compete? I still doubt we will get more 1/6 vehicles from them. It would be a shocking surprise.

I wouldn't... $1000 I was prepared for (considering the cost of the Tumbler and '89). So I was expecting between $850-$1000. But $2000 would be too much in my opinion.

This is why I jumped on the hulkbuster order. The more I look at it, the more I think hot Toys was nuts for the price they wanted, as in it could of been more. I think this batmobile be over $1000 easily. Isn’t this batmobile really big? The Mattel one that’s an rc is over 24” and it’s 1/10? 1/12 scale??

The Mattel is almost 1/10 and it’s huge so 1/6 of the JL Batmobile would dwarf the 89 Batmobile.

Ok yeah that’s what I thought!! This sucker be huge!!! Probably be at least $1200. Maybe it still happen, probably be a long time till it hits p.o. maybe this batmobile be carried over to the solo movie?

Now that Blitzway showed they have the stones to actually put the Ecto-1 up for PO, it's time for HT to man up, and do the same for this.

I'd hate to see how modern Hot Toys would price a vehicle like this. They could easily charge more than Blitzway's Ecto-1, if they wanted to.
