My question is how was the dude able to steal all of those collectibles? Did he break into Rancho Obi-Wan?

Says he was friends with Steven. Maybe a couple visits, Carl just looted and lined his pockets (backpack). Steven wasn't suspicious of him so he wouldn't even look.

I met Steve Sansweet at SW Celebration III. He was just walking around on the floor. He was just then becoming a SW celebrity geek, so he could still look around as a fan without being mobbed by people. I just said hi and that I admired what he was doing for all the fans and I thanked him. No picture, I didn't care and I'm sure he appreciated it. A shame that someone he trusted did this, and it took 2 years to figure it out. That's just wrong to do this to someone who's as passionate about it as we are rather than a glory hound looking to make a buck and a name for himself. He'd still have a ridiculous collection regardless of whether he ever worked at Lucasfilm or not.... Hope he isn't soured by such a negative experience and that he's able to retrieve a good amount of what was stolen. Hopefully the fan/collecting community is as strong as it seems and helps him out.

What!? Only now you read that?

Yeah, I knew about the the other guy and the rocket boba, but only heard about Ranch Obi-Wan earlier when I saw it on SWnews.net.
Its ****.

Sansweet is a cool dude, met him briefly a couple of times. The idea of a friend literally sticking stuff in their bag at Ranch Obi is shocking to me.
:(

I know, and you just know that Carl called Steven up and got an invitation over there solely for the purpose of stealing from him. A number of times too most likely. That's ****ed up. Big man working on DC movies, huh? "In" with Hollywood. What a loser. Worse. A criminal.
