Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wow I could totally see them going through with a Question expressions pack lol.

I'm running out of room myself guys. Right now I have the Animated Batman stuff on top of my shelf, next 3 levels down are Kenner Super Powers, then some vintage Masters of the Universe below. Then there's LJN Thundercats and the vintage G.I. Joe A Real American Hero figures on the right. Guess they'll all be getting booted out soon to make more room for the BTAS and TNBA figures.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Maybe here someone is getting its figures for free :rotfl. Because If we pay for them, we have the right to be critics. We are customers, we deserve rispect. If no hands are accessories are in the 5-pack, we have the duty to protest for this.

But let's be reasonable.

There's no way DCC is going to solicit a 5-pack of SKUs for less than it costs to buy five individual SKUs. Once consumers figured that out they'd be waiting for the cheaper multi-packs and sales on the single-carded figures would suffer. There had to be some de-contenting in order to offer this set at $80 ($16 for each figure).

It's not about loving or hating DCC. It's about having a basic understanding of business and manufacturing and adjusting expectations accordingly.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Anyway I can see the baseball bat in the box! I wonder if it's in scale with TAS Harley figure. Would be cool to pose her with that since we haven't got any mallet :D

I don't see any reason why the accessories wouldn't be in scale with the rest of the line... aside from the fact that this is DCC and they've had issues with scale since they were called DC Direct.

Optimism! ;)

I'm just happy to see those accessories. I was a little concerned that they wouldn't be included after several solicitation images only showed the portraits and sometimes the capes but not the other accessories. They weren't even mentioned in the text, as I recall.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

So my wife has banned me from any purchases until after the month ( V-Day and Anniversary the folling week). I filled our Amazon cart with a want list and she has specifically asked me to stay away from Clayface since its release. Its killing me, because I have wanted that figure since the line was drafted, but I have a strong feeling in the next few weeks I'll finally have Clayface!

I know what you mean. I didn't start collecting this line until last September (with Batman on Batman Day). My wife asked for a list for my birthday and Christmas and I said, "Easy; the rest of the line!"

Man-Bat is one of my favorite characters but I was told to wait and it paid off. She's easily bought well over half of the 28 figures I now own. I'll have to remind her that Valentine's Day is around the corner. ;)

Its really cool having the other half actually pick things up for me. I have to thank Marggo Robbie for playing Harley that got her hooked on the DCCU.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

They've kinda done that before when they gave TNBA Two-Face an eyebrow...

Actually they gave him two. Isn't he supposed to have two?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Niice, I can't wait to start having more characters from DCAU outside of Batsy's circle! I really hope DCC ends up making a JLU Huntress eventually. I wonder how many years the DCAU lines will last... I could be an old man by the time it's done if we get that deep

Huntress is a must for me too, love all incarnations of that character......plus any Earth 2 for me. Did JLU ever touch on Earth 2? I was never an avid watcher of the show but If an Earth-2 Robin was ever on the table....

I've just guessed that because Harley figure is pretty small and her tiny hands cant hold well objects. I've tried with the DC Icons Harley's mallet but you have to force the hand to make her hold it. That baseball bat seems more in scale with Batsy hands but we're gonna see when the figure will be released :D As you said.. Let's be optimistic xDDD
Big let down for me in this pack is the "phantasm cape".. :( I've truly belived was possible :(
Whatever.. Gonna enjoy the pissed expressions of Batman xD It's courious we haven't got a smirk expression.. poor Robin is the only figure gonna smile like an idion alone on my shelf between an angry shotgun armed Bullock and a pretty intimidating revolevered Gordon xDDD
But Robin smile because he's optimistic! Yay! :'D

A good solution for save space on the shelves are those in-scale "stairs". I use them in the Detolf case but im sure there are different version on Amazon. A lot of them are acrilics. Mine are like these, custom made for that Ikea glass display:

No. The only alternate universe I can recall was one that had the Justice Lords. They were a sort of a more authoritarian and crueler version of the Justice League members.

Oh and there was the dream world that was home to the Justice Guild. They were similar to the JSA but completely new and different characters. The JSA as a group on an alternate earth never appeared on the show. They would have but I guess DC wouldn't let Timm and his team use them and that is why the Justice Guild came to be, as replacements.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Just got this message from DCBS Looks like their shipping cost are going up:

Dear DCBS customer,

After careful consideration, DCBS has decided that we need to increase our shipping prices in order to maintain the quality of our shipping. Below you will see a summary of the various reasons why we need to increase our shipping as well as a summary of our new shipping prices which are effective February 3rd.

Reasons we need to increase our shipping prices:

(1) Annual Fedex price increases (frequently 4.9%)
(2) Various USPS price increases, some as high as 10%
(3) A recent 8% increase for boxes
(4) DCBS monthly and twice a month shipping prices haven’t increased since April 2012
(5) DCBS weekly shipping price hasn’t increased since July 2010

DCBS’s new shipping prices:

Monthly shipping increases from $6.95 to $7.50
Twice a month shipping increases from $6.95 to $7.50
Weekly shipping increases from $12.95 to $15.50

The shipping prices that we charge to you are still significantly lower than the average prices we are charged by the shipping companies that we use and are an even bigger value when box and packaging costs are considered. DCBS will continue to use the same high quality boxes and packaging material for your shipments. We hope you understand the need to increase our shipping prices and we are very appreciative of your business!

Sincerely,
The DCBS Team

Oh and the Batman Animated Gcpd Rogues Gallery AF 5 Pack is up at DCBS. $126.50 including standard shipping.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Thanks Whakojacko, I've been waiting for that Rogues set to go on DCBS!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up about it at DCBS. I never ordered from there but they always seemed like they had good prices.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Does DCBS charge upfront or when it ships for pre-orders?

You can pay upfront but it isn't necessarily required. I just paid for the Beyond and Girls Night Out the other day even though I ordered them months ago. You should keep in mind though that they don't allow edits or cancellation of/to your orders after a certain period of time whether you already paid or not. Though they aren't going to ship anything until you pay your order off. The deadline for me to change my Batgirl and Superman and Lois order just ended yesterday before the new month of orders began today.
