Looks like AoU is 1 nanometer shorter. All of you is wrong. :)

I didn't say it's definitive that they're the same height being that I don't have both figures in hand, so I personally don't know. I said the specs list them as being the same height being that each one says "Approximately 31 cm tall". So just going by that, they are the same height as far as the given specs are concerned.

I got what you where saying. But I was pointing out that the figure used to show what a bigger body(mos body was said to be "huge" but is listed exactly the same) would be says exactly the same thing. The DW Thor and Aou Thor say the same thing(not the same height though). Hulk says one thing and is like 2 inches off.

Yeah, I know what you're saying.

MoS is also listed as being 31 cm tall, but in hand is clearly taller than AoU Cap. So you never really know until you're able to compare them in hand side by side. For now though, I'm just simply going by what the specs say being that's all you have to go off of at the moment until perhaps some pictures start surfacing that show CW Cap next to already existing figures.

I concur though that I don't think the Cap body needs to be any taller than what they have it now.

Pained, only have the plastic shield and this is timed with Deadpool and Mk45.

Will the S.T.R.I.K.E. suit even fit this Cap?

I am hoping it does, I would love if it looked like the S.T.R.I.K.E. suit cap proto.

This is an entirely new body so there's no way to know at this point. But the body was never the problem with the strike suit.

Umm yes it was, that was the major complaint about it, which is why Hot Toys beefed up the padding on the AOU suit in the muscle areas of the suit. However, since they know that didn't give the figure the natural look they made a whole new body for this version, so it should be perfect now like the S.T.R.I.K.E. suit Cap proto version was.

Strike suit cap suffered due to both the body and the tailoring. Would be near impossible to fit the stealth suit into this new cap's body without drastic mods i think.

No, it wasn't. Go re read the thread. The complaint was articulation. Like 5 to 1. Almost everyone removed the fat suit to improve articulation.

I was part of the thread and was the first person I believe to do certain mods to the figure, so I don't care about how many times people have complained about the articulation in that thread. When the figure first came out everyone complained about the body and that was the major compliant about it, which is why so many people modded theirs and others put it on different bodies like the Reeve body and MOS one. There were a great number of people who didn't care too much about articulation because they just wanted their figure to look good, even if the articulation was restricted.

Yes they did do that, but most people passed on the figure because of how puny it looked compared to the proto. BTW the fat suit didn't need to be removed to improve articulation, the reason why there was lack of articulation was due to the restriction of the rubber suit. Once they cut two V shape holes in the center of the suit front and back, the figure was no longer restricted by the rubber suit and the arms could hang flush against the body.

What are the chances it will actually be able to be posed like in the pictures? My AoU Cap definietly couldn't make those poses.

Good question. I've not been able to make a tenth of the poses with the few HTs I have that they show in their promotional material.

I fiddled with mine last night and was able to get a decent museum pose.

Shoulders look much better. I snipped the undershirt straight down the middle in the front and back. I think that was the problem with this release. Undershirt was tailored too tightly and made the shoulders shrug.

I like what you did with the chest, did you just take the fat suit off to get that effect?

However, while the arms look better as they now hang down naturally against the body the shoulders still look too flat, there is no shape to them. That can be fixed though by putting something circular in the padding of where the delts are, similar to what one customizer did but he glued his to the arms.

To give this look.

Yes that is the problem did u cut it similar to this?

Hot Toys - MMS350 - Captain America: Civil War - Captain America Collectible ...

No. Straight down the middle cutting the shirt in half but I only went about half way down from the top to the bottom of his chest. Released the pressure enough to relax the shoulders.

I also removed the fat suit.

That's good that you were able to cut it in half, and get the same result as that the other method in the pic I posted where the person cuts two V shape cuts at certain areas. I always thought that was a rather difficult mod to pull off without the sleeves of the shirt falling out.

I also removed the fat suit.

I figured you did because now it has a much natural looking appearance with the chest protruding more and the abs sunken in more.

Thanks for the tips. I may still pad out the shoulders to make them a bit more pronounced. I'd like to see a pic of that with the arms at his sides in the suit.

No problem, there is a limit to how much u can put in there though because as you know when you cut the rubber suit the sleeves have the potential to fall out when you make put pressure on the shoulder area by adding additional parts there to broaden the shoulders.

Well here is the one where the guy used that putty to give shape to the shoulders in that first I showed you and according to him he cut the rubber suit to.

Even though that is Reeve's body I am sure that makes difference to whether or not the sleeves will fall out.

You are right. While articulation on the stock Stealth figure was severely lacking, the lack of bulk in both the shoulders and chest was a much bigger problem, it turned a lot of people off.

There's a reason why the figure sat on shelves for so long. What we saw here is not what we got.
