I did contact Sideshow. They responded that the comic shop, as an authorized SS dealer, has a Sideshow rep that should be able to work with them to solve the problem. I forwarded that email to the shop, and they responded to bring the statue in and they'd trade it out.

There you go. SS had a lot to do with why you got a replacement body/parts. I didn't even know that they would help a customer out after the 30 day period, but it was a rep himself that told they STILL help out after the 30 days unless the part is just not available. I take my hat off to SS for looking out for us the collectors. BTW, your new body looks terrific. You can tell that's a fresh body taken out of the styrofoam.

So after being hurt in a car accident it has been almost two months since I have been able to sculpt. So tonight I got going with some easy texturing. This is what came up with. Going to be turning his head either straight on like the Andy B head or maybe even a bit to the right.

Oh man that's sweet!

Hope you're doing well Spidey.

Thanks Ondi. I am doing better, but the recovery is slower then I would like. I need the XMas break to get a little more rest for the old brain...lol.

I think my Bats is leaning, or is it an optical illusion because Batgirl is leaning in the other direction?

This is how it should look from that angle. Straight up and down...

I don't think I'm imagining it. Am I?

I think my Bats is leaning...

It's hard to tell with the lens distortion... I reset the crop and perspective settings in Lightroom, which corrects the left-right distortion, and here's how it compares... It's a subtle difference, but you can see him more vertical in the corrected photo.

If you can take another shot with a lower perspective (i.e. try to match up the gargoyle with the SS pic), it might show you better if it's truly leaning. Also, check the lean front-back. Hard to correct that digitally.

I don't think so. I think it's good. When standing straight up they're very close to tipping over so if it were leaning that much it'd be tipped over for sure I think.

I used to have this Batman PF and it didn't stand straight either. I think it's designed like that. No worries here.

On a side note, that Hulk on your pics looks awesome. Thor looks great too but he seems so tiny next to Bats! ^^

Almost all of the issues with this piece not standing straight/leaning have to do with the improper placement of the pads on the bottom of the base by the factory. I added one small felt pad to the bottom of my base and now he's as straight as an arrow and has been since the day I received him.

Bats is a MASSIVE statue. He's easily slightly over 1/4 scale. Just about any PF looks too small next to him. I don't mind though, it gives the piece a lot of presence IMO.

I think Bat looks w Trinity set. With other statue, he looks a bit out of scale.
