I just pulled out the figures off the top shelf of my billy for cleaning and I decided to repose Thor and couldn't help but notice that the silver sleeves of his arms feel tacky? Is anyone else having that issue with their Avengers Thor?
Totally annoyed that the red cloth of his vambrace on his left arm totally stained his hand also.

Same issue here, his sleeves have been tacky since day 1 :thud: so it's nothing abnormal I suppose.

But I have stained wrist from the red fabric as well.

ps. Are you a Dir En Grey fan? I see Kyo in your avatar :rock

Oh wow, I don't recall mine being that way when I bought him, so that sucks! Hopefully TDW Thor's sleeves don't end up that way, and thankfully they now do his vambraces all in plastic.
And I totally am a Diru fan, have been since 2006. They're my favorite band. Most of what I listen to is Jrock, haha:) Do you listen to any other Jrock groups besides them?

A1 Thor is the only Thor I own right now :lol I have the first Thor but sold him long ago, his mail is tacky as well if I remember correctly.

Versailles Philharmonic Quintet, big fan. Own every album and dvds they produced. :rock:rock

Never really dug the first Thor figure HT made...awful figure imo.
Versailles was an amazing group! I only have their Noble album though, but I listen to them often. It was so sad when Jasmine died and then when they disbanded. I've not been able to get into any of the new stuff the members are doing though...

The first figure is so bad that I sold it :lol Such a relief they managed to release everyone from the first Avengers movie.

Hiatus, not disband :) they are grouping again at Kamijo's concert this year.

Lmfao, and I agree!
****, you're right! That'd be a concert I'd want to go to!

Has anyone ever customized this figure with sleeveless arms? I didn't like this outfit for him at first, but it's starting to grow on me. But the sleeveless look is so much better with this armor.

I've always considered that Thor should be sleeveless. :)

Merry Christmas everyone! Thought I'd share my custom sleeveless Avengers Thor battling it out with Hulk.

Need some help. Buddy of mines picked up Thor from a local collector. He went to switch out the hands and after tugging on it for awhile broke the peg inside the arm. After further research we noticed that the previous owner had superglued the wrist pegs together. I already tried to use a blow dryer to heat up the peg but the glue is so old and hard it didn’t do anything. Anyone have any other suggestions. Thanks.

The armor sleeves should detach.

Edit-as in just the armor not the whole arms. I have a set off if you want to see what they look like.

These are the outer sleeves. I’m not sure where the body is at the moment. I’m looking...I believe they are the same on all the armored looks, more or less.

Thanks Motu, but I still need to figure out how to take the broken peg out from the wrist. It’s superglued together. If we can’t get it out, then next option would be to buy spare arms, like the photo you posted.

I guess that would be my next step. Any particular steps I should follow so that I don’t damage the figure, I’ve never had to do that before. Thanks

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with it either. I have a stripped screw on one of my figures and upon researching potential solutions the dremel idea popped up. I haven't attempted it but it seemed to me that it could be a solution for you as well.
