That's why I gave up on this show after season 4. Can't believe the same people are still in here whining at and attacking those who question some of the insanely stupid and inconsistent **** that goes on in this show.

Well, actually I can believe it.

If this is true, then why are you in here? :lol

Do you miss me that much?

So there are some of us who are ok with believing that glen can fall on his back, get immobilized under the dead body of a grown man, be encircled by ~75 walkers engaged in a feeding frenzy of human flesh, all while he's abutted up against a big metal dumpster pushed up against a chain link fence. He has no help and he never fired his weapon while on the ground. If memory serves he remained pinned and made grimacing faces while the zombies ripped flesh from bone and blood spewed into the air like oil well of blood all done to a sad soundtrack of death and sorrow. But youre ok with believing he can survive this and thats obviously one's personal opinion.

So it begs the question of what WONT you believe on this show. Is there a reasonable line that can be crossed on this show where you say "thats just BS and i refuse to suspend reality"?

I have no clue. I have no idea what's going to happen. I don't even know if he survived it or how he did.

If I can suspend reality enough to watch and enjoy a show about zombies I sure as hell can suspend reality enough to accept Glenn can get out of that situation.

And yet here you are. What makes less sense? People who actually watch the show complaining about it or someone, you, who doesn't even watch the show, coming in this thread to complain about it?

Yes. In a show where the dead are reanimated and walking around eating other people, endless shotgun shells, 100% head shot accuracy, and neighborhoods that never seem to get overgrown with weeds and vegetation, I do believe that is possible.

Why?

Because I think it is fun.

Next.

Yep.
This is not a realistic Tv show, anything can happen.
Now i m just surprised about Glenn, i tought he was done.
The way they set this up, they better come up Ith a good way to make it work.
Not realistic mind you.

He watched it for four seasons. I think that's more than enough time to formulate a thoughtful opinion on the program. your point might have some validity if he never watched it at all. Also, all he did was tell you why he stopped watching it. He expressed his opinion on an open forum about a specific topic. And expressing your opinion EVEN ABOUT SOMETHING YOU DISLIKE is not dumb (as you originally wrote), and yes, it DOES make sense (as you edited). Because the contrary is that ppl only express their opinions on a subject if they have something good to say about it. You would basically eliminate dissent and therefore all meaningful discussion if it was a thread of only ppl who sang the show's praises.

furthermore, the person about whom you wrote is the only person I read who basically said that they stopped watching the show due to strains on credulity. NO ONE ELSE WROTE THAT. So to everyone who said stop watching the show, no one else said they disliked the show. The discussion centered on one incident with one character in one scene in one episode. That hardly qualifies as I find the show so unbelievable I should stop watching. Maybe a more focused read through of the day's posts would reveal that, because no one I read wrote that (with the exception of the above). If I'm wrong please show me the post(s).

Finally, there's apparently a missed irony about condemning ppl who "complain". In complaining about complainers, you become a complainer- that which you negatively criticize. In your "what makes less sense" query, you offer up ppl who complain about the show and ppl who don't watch the show and complain. I would add ppl who complain about ppl who complain to your spectrum of complainers. You are a complainer once removed.

And no I'm not complaining.

Of course it's not realistic, but the writers still have to follow the rules they lay out for their show. Swarmed by walkers= death.

So if "anything can happen" what if next week the story is that Glenn is actually a wizard. He used a magic invisibility cloak to disappear. You'd probably say that's BS. But if you can have zombies, why can't you have wizards?

Why is this idea BS? Because it violates the reality of the show. So no, not "anything can happen". You give the writers a pass to peddle crap when you allow them to break with the reality of their own show.

What if Maggie suddenly appeared next to Glenn and started shooting walkers? You'd probably say that's bs too. Why? Because Maggie is at the camp. She has no idea where he is. He's surrounded by walkers. So how did she get there? It's crap. And hopefully viewers would identify it as such.

Why are so many people so upset over Glenn's alleged death? It is not like the dude hasn't been in life or death situations throughout the series and got out of them. Off the top of my head, S3 when he is bound and gagged when Merle unleashes a Walker on him...or S4 when him and Tara are about to die in the tunnel and Abraham and co come to the rescue...S5 when he is about to get his head bashed in and throat slit just before Carol bombs Terminus...or later in S5 when he get shot by Nicholas, gets 2-3 Walkers dropped on top of him and yet he survives that somehow.

How is his latest "death" any different from any of those examples??? Is it because people felt some sort of emotional response this time around and feel like they were fooled? All this talk about "cheap death" and "following the rules" is absurd.

I can think of many satisfying ways the writers can "save" Glenn, if they choose to do so. What if someone whom viewers haven't met yet was inside the dumpster and helps save Glenn? Or inside one of the nearby buildings?

Either shut up and give the writers a chance to finish telling their story or stop watching the show and posting all these whiny and bitching complaints in here because no one wants to read how butt hurt you are over Glenn's "death". Or you can stay in here and continue to post your whining complaints but be prepared for posts like this because I am going nowhere. Game on.

Spoken like a true fanboy.

He could be plucked out by a beam of light and into an Alien spacecraft and I think this thread would be perfectly alright with it so complaining about it now, later, doesn't matter really. Lets not pretend it will be countenanced in any scenario

Wait, are we talking an HR Giger Alien or something like Paul?

I personally have my bets placed on the clouds seperating from the sky and Jesus himself outstretching his arms and saving Glenn from certain doom (all to the sound of trumpets). And no, I don't mean comic Jesus! Either that or there is a man hole cover underneath the dumpster with a herd down there that he also escapes from.

Unlike Fabs, I'd like to see Glenn make it out alive. But I don't fault fans and viewers who can't suspend disbelief in this instance.

I don't fault people who jumped to a conclusion and can't let it go.

I do fault people who get bent over it. But I won't begrudge them. They can get bent if they like.
