I feel the same way. I'm not adverse to them doing every important character, but I know i cannot get them all.

I mean I'm not looking to recreate all 8 movies having every single character like some of you! :lol

But I'll support that any day of the year over a house party protocol iron man collection!

Got Harry today. Mine has some black and brown paint on the ears from when they were painting the hair. Not a huge deal but it does suck.

Overall I'm pretty happy. But I may have to get a casual Harry and swap out the heads due to OCD. :lol

Thanks, I might order that one and just be done with it. Better than spending $99 plus shipping on the casual.

Definitely the first figure I've gotten with a defective headsculpt. Even the right eye is painted slightly off so it looks as if he is looking over instead of straight.

That's a shame, that's definitely a factory defect.

Here's an eBay listing for a head, I understand if you don't want to spend any more on the one figure though.

Harry arrived today!

Pretty much a copy of Ron except the sculpts and accessories of course, which is good. Excellent clothing, strong body, basically everything I said about Ron applies to this figure as well. :lol The stand had the same issues as the Ron stand, but that was an easy fix.

I really like the accessories. The stone, the golden snitch, the sorting hat is awesome, and Hedwig of course (really hoping Harry's trolley cart is made and it includes a bird cage for Hedwig). Only complaint is that with the Golden Snitch, the wire included is absolutely terrible and just a waste really. I would have preferred a mini bendable pole with a holder for the snitch, sort of like the Hot Toys stand that came with MoS Spuerman, ASM2 Spidey, etc... and had that same option, but oh well, I won't be displaying him with Snitch and broom but I hope this gets fixed for the Quidditch release, maybe just a separate stand for the Snitch would be nice.

Here are the pics I took with my Ipad mini.

And here is how they will be displayed for now. It was getting dark and I still need to install lights into my shelves, so not the best pic...

Just like your stand I did not get one of the swivel attachments for the longest pole. I like the snitch stand. worked well for me. congrats on getting them and setting up. Ron overwhelmed me with the volume of accessories.

Got the replacement head yesterday. Look at the differences! Whoever made the one on the left must have been drunk. :lol

Haha yeah. Lazy eye, wrong color eyes, poorly painted hair over eyebrows, different color glasses frame, brown paint on both ears.

Atrocious!

Take your pick:

In addition to the ones previewed, I'd guess either Year 1 casual Hermione, Dumbledore v.2 (whichever of Harris or Gambon isn't made first), Snape, McGonagall, Bellatrix and older Harry/Ron/Hermione (perhaps Year 5 or 6 uniforms like in the picture and not necessarily casual Deathly Hallows versions quite yet). Lucius, Ginny, Neville, Luna, the twins, and the Lupins are probably less likely at the moment, but hopefully we'll get all of them and more as long as the line continues to be successful.

I think that Ginny and Neville are far too important of characters to not do. Just an older Ginny would probably be fine, but Neville gets so much screen-time and so many pages in the early books that I think it would be weird to not get older AND younger versions of Neville.

My top 10 most wanted are (in no order):
--Year 5 Luna
--Year 5 Ginny
--Year 1 Neville
--McGonagall
--Bellatrix
--Year 4 Neville
--Umbridge
--Year 5 Fred and George
--Year 5 Draco
--Year 5 Harry

I haven't seen a lot of requests for Umbridge, but I think her pink outfit will really pop and complement the rest of the line on a Harry Potter shelf. And really, she probably ties or exceeds Voldemort for most despised villain in this series. =D

For a first figure it would be virtually impossible to have absolutely no production kinks whatsoever. Star Ace did a great job with their first time QC.

You're right on the money. Not saying anything against Star Ace. They've done well, and even Hot Toys had a time when they started! So it's normal.

Hermione is proof that they've hit their stride.

She's the best part of Order of the Phoenix for me, so wonderfully hateable. :lol

You have to consider though, is the character popular enough that it could sell 1000s of $200 figures? Ginny may be an important character, but is her look distinctive enough to make an interesting collectible figure?

If one of the four remaining main students isn't popular/interesting enough to sell the quota of figures, then this is going to be a very short line.

Ginny unfortunately got shafted far more than Neville and Luna in the movies, but she's still Ron's sister, the catalyst for the entirety of Chamber of Secrets and Harry's future wife. She's also one of the six kids who go the Department of Mysteries in OOTP, which is a "team" plenty of fans are probably going to want to assemble.

Ginny obviously isn't going to sell as much as Hermione, but she's not a bit part like Cho Chang or whoever either.

And other than a new head, I'm not sure that she'd require much new tooling from Hermione anyway. I would think releasing the students (at least in their school robes) would be far cheaper and more manageable than adult characters that require 100% new outfits and such that can't be reused elsewhere, such as McGonagall, Filch, Umbridge and so forth.
