I think the last sculpt looked more like Hemsworth. I'm getting a Brad Pitt/Hugh Jackman vibe from this one. I also prefer the last Widow (or maybe it was the one before the last, can't keep up) and the original Loki.

I'm glad they used a different sculpt, will buy since I have the sleeved TDW version. But why does Thor only get the new sculpt treatment.

Granted I think the previous one has a tad better likeness.

Is rubber rot still an issue?... The only exposed rubber arm figure I'm planning on is Commando Arnie, and I won't be doing any strained posing to try and protect him...

It sucks that the rubber is an issue. Would love to pose Thor as if he is about to strike an enemy with Mjolnir ... but even with my sleeved TDW version, I'm scared of doing it ha

He looks really good for those who don't have one yet (or are completists), but for my money TDW Thor (armoured sleeves) is the one to get..
And I'm glad I just got one!

I'd rate it behind TDW one in terms of likeness. There's something off about it to me.

I'm just glad this release at least doesn't get a reuse head.

No. It's this Hobbies big foot. Lots of rumor and speculation based of like 20-30 cases in 15 years. There are as many issues with plastic arms as there are with rubber. I'd be willing to bet that everyone in the last few days posting about the "rubber" issue..out of them all I bet most don't have a single figure with an issue.

There's a failure rate with plastic and vinyl that's at the same percent as any rubber quality issues.

The new blue undershirt for Thor in the movie benefits the figure, IMO. Makes the cut between the shoulders and the torso look better

Rubber has a history of being a problem regardless if people want to sweep it under the rug b/c it hasn't happened to their dollies yet, and add Gamora to that list.

I prefer this sculpt. Both look like Hemsworth, but this doesn't have the open mouth, which I'm not too fond of on the other figure.

Is there an undershirt in the movie? I don't recall seeing it, it just looked like the arm holes in his armor were smaller.

Definitely dig the sculpt and led Mjolnir with lightening and I'll definitely pick up both parted out, but TDW LA version is still tops for me. I love the bit of blue and gold that version has in it. But if you need a Thor in your collection, I think this is a great figure still. Congrats to all picking him up.
