Yes, you could say mgs4 was the last one because it was the the last story in the timeline. Mgsv of course was way before those events so to me your friends and family were right. It just wasnt the last title/game. But i know where you were going with that.

By flat out lying? :horror

C'mon man, Kojima's secretive, yes. But he never lies as far as I know. That's just low.

Well, he has said "this will be the last MGS" like 3 or 4 times at this point :lol

Besides, I'm doing some research, and he said it wasn't "Ground Zeroes" specifically..... Nothing about TPP.

Yeah, I'm just saying that the hype for MGS4 was so massive that anyone have heard it's Snake last mission and the final game. Of course non fans wouldn't know the difference between Snake and BB but they all felt that the creators of the series weren't keeping their word, especially since all the interviews had Kojima saying "Last on, last one, don't worry!"

Once they saw GZ, all they can say was "Graphics are nice, when is MGS6?" :lol

In Kojima's defense, I think he genuinely believed it. This time however, he didn't say that. In fact, he specifically mentioned that the FOX Engine would be used in future MGS games. Oh joy.

Yeah, and he's interested in making an open world MGS1 remake, ugh, and apparently not with him in charge.

Just make the damn MG remakes and be done with it, geez.

Playing Resident Evil Remake for the first time, has completely convinced me we can get basically MGS1 in HD at it will be awesome and can do very well. Especially as im sure soo many people would want to experience MGS with the original.

Resi Remake was apparently PSNs and Capcoms best selling digital game ever. That is incredible and is a very very oldschool style game.

Erm, you are aware that it's a Gamecube game, are you? It's equivalent to The Twin Snakes.

Chances are if we got an MGS1 HD Remake, it would be just an HD remaster of Twin Snakes, which had a lot of problems with the new mechanics unlike REmake.

Yeah but the dude wants to make an open world MGS1, that's totally unnecessary.

Yeah, what difference does that make? It's old school design basically followed RE1 exactly from what I understand.

No difference at all man. It's just that if we're talking about Resident Evil Remake, then the equal to that is The Twin Snakes. MGS1 can't be ported to HD except for that so called new open-world remake that Kojima is proposing. But that also means that a brand new remake with presumably the FOX Engine would make MGS2 and 3 look out of place.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, I would like to see a port of TTS, especially after REmake finally appeared outside a Nintendo console. That, or remake the all 3 MGS games with the FOX engine. :lol

It really would...open world MGS 1 would be kinda neat, but just wouldn't make sense story-wise.

REmakes of the first three Solid games would be pretty cool, at least a proper MGS 1 REmake with the MGS2 gameplay taken into account and better cutscenes.

Also...I noticed this while gif searching :lol Probably been pointed out, but still funny
