Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

As long as Batman and Robin can both sit inside, the canopy slides forward and back and the wheels move, I'm good.

Don't need any electronics, accessories or gimmicks. It'd be cool if they included an exclusive Penguin that could fit inside, but I wouldn't count in it. No way is the regular Penguin going to fit inside. Maybe an exclusive pilot Alfred for the Batwing some day?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I wonder if it'll have the wheel spikes like the old one?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

If that's the batmobile then I'm jumping into this line

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Is that the New Adventures Batmobile? I don't remember the BTAS one having the high spikes like that - The BTAS was more box - shaped

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The nice thing about the Batmobile is you wouldn't have to worry about any limbs or joints snapping off. It would be pretty hard to make a rectangular slab breakable.

The Mattel '66 Batmobile is pretty hollow and cheap, but it worked nicely for about $50 bucks.

Nope, that was the TAS version:

OMG the BTAS Batmobile is coming???

The Kenner Batmobile still is proudly displayed on my shelf, I can't even begin to imagine how cool a new one would be!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Am I the only one who is confused by the fact that they are using Batman from season 4 and Catwoman from seasons 1-3 :panic:

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

They've already unveiled the earlier Batman design release in a later wave. DC Collectibles intends on doing both looks for every character that had them between Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures. They're just mixing up the looks within waves. Hence: Later designs for Batman, Mr. Freeze, and Two-Face, and the Earlier design for Catwoman in Wave 1, then down the line...Earlier designs for Batman, Penguin, Riddler, and the later design for Batgirl in Wave 4.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Cheers guys for your kind words :)

@The Mike For Catwoman I erased the eyes completely and painted over new ones. I wanted to keep a bit of "sculpted" eye lids but in the end I didn't leave that much..

For the holes in the legs I added just a tiny bit of cotton at the bottom and sculpted over with Fixit SCUPT, polished and repainted the legs.

I hope this helps :)

On the side note I'm so glad they are improving the quality! I really hope they will remove those holes as they bother me quite a lot...

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

That is a magnificent paintjob, zelu. I didn't even notice the lack of holes, at first! I was so fixated on the beautiful work you did on the face. The eyes are beautifully done, but the lips are spectacular, as well.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Thanks batfan08, It helps that the sculpt is so good and even before the repaint Catwoman looks great, I like to customize my figures so I wanted to take her one step further :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Zelu, I recognize your work from Figure Realm and your past BTAS custom figures are nothing short of amazing. Especially the work you did on females like Ivy, Selina etc.

This paintjob you've done here for Catwoman is perfection too. Love it. You also really know how to pose and bring out the life in a figure!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Since some people are having trouble seeing the BTAS Batmobile in that silhouette, I thought I'd take a few pictures to try and help.

In the last picture I didn't quite get the angle right (after many tries) to accurately overlay onto the image. If I'd had more time I would've got there I think. The photo needs to come from a lower angle toward the Batmobile canopy. Anyway, you get the idea with it!

To me, it can't be anything else other than the BTAS Batmobile. I just hope it's for the 6" line and not a statue or something, but since they just revealed Roxy & Rocket (and they stated "vehicles aren't off the table" in reply to questions about a Batmobile for 6" figures) I'm happily assuming it is for the BTAS line. :D

Super awesome! this should teach 'em how to make a proper animated figure! Great job!

One of the things that excites me is how they made it a point that Roxy's rocket will have a working light-up function. I'm hoping that means we get a TAS Batmobile with head and tail lights.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Thanks sfa and batsheva :) Yeah i did few old school BATS customs in the past :p

and yeah this must be BTAS Batmobile! :D Good point about the lights batfan08! It would be awesome ^^

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Awesome work, zelu1984! Catwoman looks way better with that paint job and no holes. Those customs are amazing as well.

You're more than welcome! :) I really do love your Ivy's. Hopefully DCC can capture her BTAS likeness well. That's one figure I'm very much looking forward to from them.

As for the (possible) DCC Batmobile, it'd be really cool if it did have light up features, although I'd worry that might boost up the price a lot. I'm thinking it would be costly even without light up features since it would be huge, especially considering Roxy's rocket is 12 inches long. The Batmobile would have the potential to be about 25-30 inches long maybe?
