It was fantastic for it's time. I'm still very fond of it and the black version. But you would need to be crazy (Riddick) to compare the two in regards to realistic proportions and sophistication. It's not a case of saying everything new is better, or everything old is crap. Things have just gotten a lot more sophisticated since those S3 figures were released. They look dated now as I'm sure this one will in a few years.

I just don't like the proportions of that older figure. I've always really liked that kind of alien looking style from the comics. Really fits the character

This thing is so beautiful !!!! every time I stand and look at it I find myself singin the spiderman cartoon theme , but on the downside im gunna have to collection stock level down so I can give him the room he deserves

when it doesn't rain it pours... passing on so many cool figures. I don't even know if I'll be able to swing Ripley if HT keeps pumping out the OT characters.

Same. I think he looks the business and the suit design rules. I maybe slightly prefer it to Tobey Maguire's suit although I far prefer Tobey's films.

Alas, currently spending too much elsewhere. First World problem scenario.

(anyway I have the SM3 red/blue which I think holds up pretty well. Only thing I don't like about it is the sleeves/hands area and the brittle wrist pegs which make it virtually impossible to change hands without hassle)
