Seeing this really makes me wish they'd release the Rhino. That entire figure would make an awesome base for spidey

Love the figure now but after seeing that pic above I wish it was like that one.

Maybe HT could have used some sort of stretchy, Spandex-type material for the red sections? I don't know how well that would hold up over time though, especially if it's attached to the blue sections.

It's possible, but yeah probably better they went with this kind again. It presents well.

Yeah. His photo double would chill with us during breaks and I felt the material, it's almost like an under armour fabric, slightly thicker.

I really hope this comes out next month in the states, seeing that OMG and JB are already postin pics on here. Cant remember if it takes a month or two for it to start shipping from SSCM? I'm getting this figure for my brothers birthday next month and Id really like to have it before then. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, it takes about a month after a figure is first released in HK to reach Sideshow and the States. Depending on where you live, add another week or two, or three, before you have it in hand.

Wow this spidey figure is literally heaven. I don't care if the movie was decent to me the suit was pure spidey and I love the comic style of the eyes

Very glad I kept my order.

The ONLY thing I'm hesitating about is this combo 'pack' that it potentially in the works. Worst case scenario, I sell this one, break even, and get the inevitable future release.

Damn this quickly sold out on Alter Ego as soon as the final release pics hit. I'm glad I jumped on the pre order as soon as I saw how awesome this figure ending up being.

Good job to those here on the board that posted photo comparisons and I know some of you all emailed Hot Toys. They listened! Hot Toys really improved this one a lot! It's THE Spidey figure to have in my opinion!

Considering they're making other characters from the movie, it wouldn't look good if Hot Toys couldn't get Spidey looking right! It would've dissuaded interest from the ASM2 line.

I'd consider this to be a successful intervention by the fans. We used our voice and HT responded. Thanks to all the whiners and complainers

It's funny. Normally there would be a handful of members here stating that 'we never have any effect on changes' and that 'HT were always planning whatever changes actually happened'. When it comes to a change as drastic as this I really can't see how this argument stands up and I never did anyway.

Great result.

I am really trying to cut back on my HT, and didn't expect to buy this but I may have to.
I grew up a Spiderman fan, collecting the comics and that is the sole reason id buy the figure. Looks more like the comic version than any other figure released.

Watching the film again, I think people just need to wait till they get spidey in hand before making a judgement call towards costume accuracy.

I think what I'm seeing on film, HT's nailed the material, the red has that cloth texture to the suit if you look closely in the film , especially in HD like ht did with the figure and it only looks shinier and different In the CG spidey effects. I didn't realize that HT also captured the shine pattern that reflected off the lenses.

All in all I think the figure nailed the true likeness of the film. This is going to be another win for ht.
