Guys, wanted to ask. XM Mark VII, you can see the triangle reactor visible. But in SS LSF, it seem reactor is just round blurry white milk glass. Which is the correct one? I find the XM reactor to be quiet eye catching.

its a great question Pau :goodpost: to be honest, I don't ever remember seeing the triangle reactor visible when he wore the MKVII suit in the movie...then again, the arc reactor was always lit up in the movie so all you'd see would be a bright light shining through. Perhaps maybe if the suit was idle then you might see it :dunno

With that said, I'm okay with the way Sideshow have done it on their LSF and we'll more than likely see it on their 1/4 scale maquette but there really isnt any excuse to have cut corners on the lifesize bust. They showed us with the War Machine lifesize bust that they could really nail a detailed Arc Reactor, so that was the biggest disappointment for me :(

I also didn't notice until XM Mark VII. If without the lights on, it would be nice to see a detailed arc reactor, because the statue won't be lit up at our home 247. For the price tag, we should be getting the most detailed and screen accurate (Especially considering Legacy work side by side with SS on this project). I really wish SS would have a respond to this.

Each suit has it's own circular Arc Reactor. When the suit is powered up it appears externally as a glowing white disc (or triangle on the MK VI)...

AR1.jpg

With more detail of the suit's AR under the armour...

AR2.jpg

Stark's chest AR is separate...

AR3.jpg

There is a scene which shows the MK VII suit AR powered down and therefore visible...

AR4.jpg

So the triangle AR in the XM statue is artistic license...but looks good all the same :)

The interplay between the suit's AR and the one in Stark's chest has always been a bit vague...but oh well.

Oh...and as such the triangle suit AR on the MK VI 1:2 Bust by Sideshow is inaccurate regardless of which way up it is... LOL

That one was a disaster. The recast got it right while SS is wrong :rotfl
So I assume the correct is round shape for Mark VII? I wish SS has a foto zoom of the reactor without lights on, and you can see all the details on it, instead of just blurry glass.

That´s so funny. You can see no triangle in the movie, but XM do it and its great. If SS do a triangle that wasn´t there it will be the **** of the day.

Hey, you are not fanboy´s w/o brain, or? :rotfl

Yep XM is inaccurate, BUT that is okay because ... Oh never mind...lol

And that's why I am checking with you guys :). If it looks goods, it looks good despite inaccurate :lol
Time to question XM triangle now

Any one have the foto of the reactor with lights close on this guy up close?

The MK IV, VI, VII etc. have their own reactors (also the retrofitted MK II so Rhodey could wear it). The I, II, III and V were powered only by Tony's reactor.

I've always thought that the suits with built in reactors would use Tony's as backup or a booster battery. But yes, it's never explained in the movies.
