:lol

The chick reminds me of Sue, so there's always that.

I wonder if they changed race with Johnny due to CE popularity with Cap?

Or maybe as a way to piss off Marvel. :lol

Does Marvel have any say what Fox can and can't do with a character?

Maybe they searched for a CE look alike and couldn't find one.

The change certainly wasn't done as service to the character and story, they don't give a crap about that. :lol

When I heard about the reboot, my first thought on casting Johnny was. Michael B. Jordan. So they did me a service.

What is CE?

CE = Chris Evans

Oh. I see.

Definitely don't think a character race change will piss off marvel what so ever. IE the new cap comic. But even if Marvel does get the rights back, they'd never use the same cast fox did.

Luke Cage and Black Panther too. Hell, let's just switch everybody up. It'll be fun.

exactly, why stick with the source? :dunno How dare anyone would think otherwise as there is something wrong with them or their just racist

Right? If it aint Mcu it aint a good movie. I love marvel to death but this new found hatred for marvels best characters cuz they arent marvel is stupid beyond belief. MCU is great but its not the holy grail of films.

Yup, especially since Fox and Sony really paved the way for the MCU movies.

I’m sure it did piss Marvel off a lot, because they probably were thinking of doing the same thing :lol

They should make Blade white.

Or asian, indian, russian…etc

I love Don Cheadle as an actor, but I find him to be doing a terrible job at playing Rhodey, if I found out tomorrow that he was replaced by a white actor who can bring on a better performance, I would be extremely happy, even though that would be pretty much impossible because of the obvious continuity issues that would bring.

Yeah, I love all the peeps that come into this thread with their PC garbage and calling other peeps out as racists because they disagree with a casting choice. Most of us are nerds that love and have collected comics since we were kids. We love our continuity and respect the history of the characters. Obviously, more so than some of these movie studios.

Has anyone in this thread been accused of being a racist?

My arguments are more towards me favoring a great film, instead of just settling for a good comic book movie. Robert Downey can pass as Tony Stark looks wise, but you cannot tell me thats the way Tony acts in the comics. He’s basically playing himself, it’s entertaining as hell. Marvel might not have been so successful if they would have stuck directly to the source material with Iron Man.

I cannot believe people are still complaining about the cast. Everyone throws out "why not make Black Panther white" line as if it's they just thought of it. That knucklehead remark has been made (and ignored) for at least a decade. If the principal photography is finished, it's a done deal so get over it. FF was one of my favorite comics as a kid, and personally I'm not a fan of at least 3/4 of the casting decisions as being representative of the "Fantastic Four". But all the ranting, weeping and bellyaching in the world is not going to make one bit of difference. It ain't gonna be rewritten, recast or reshot. And guess what, nobody at FOX gives a ____ what you or I think. The only vote you have on this subject, like with any movie, is with your wallet. If it's a good movie, I'll probably go and see it and accept it for what it is. If it's not, I'll feel a bit vindicated and cross my fingers in the hope that FOX finally lets the franchise revert back to Marvel so a threeboot can be fasttracked. But at best that wouldn't get to the screen until 2019. And since X-Men ended up being a hit, any hope of that going back to Marvel dropped to virtually zero.
