Man if its only $499 I'm in for 2. Im afraid we are looking at $599.
The Delorian is only 166 inches long, which would be like 28 inches in 1/6 scale. A smaller vehicle for sure.

I wonder if it will have sound effects too.

DeLorean should be cheaper then the tumbler hopefully.

I think that's a certainty. The DeLorean isn't as complex as the Tumbler. I think the DeLorean will be very similar in price to the 66 Batmobile. Although that isn't up for PO yet so we can't be certain.

Is it actually confirmed that they're releasing the DeLorean, or is it speculation at this point?

I think it's very likely. It's featured in the photos with Marty similar to how the 66 Batmobile is featured in Batman & Robins promo pics and that's being produced.

I'm just curious to see if they do Doc and when that will be...... If it's like 2 years marty will be lonely for a while haha!
Looks awesome!

Anyone know how we go about getting the bonus guitar?

I have a feeling Doc isn't far away hence they long wait for these figures because they were developing both. I'm guessing the guitar is for anyone who orders from Sideshow that's normally what the exclusives are.

well ****. Need this and the DeLorean. Will be one of the few purchases my fiance not only approves of, but encourages.

Probably not. Licensing is a beyatch.

Batman's hot property though and Hot Toys know this. They could charge $1300 for the Tumbler and some rich collectors would still buy it because it's Batman. Back to the Future is popular don't get me wrong but it's not Batman popular.

I think you're right, but of course, we don't know how much that Batmobile will cost. I don't know if the Tumbler is a good reference point, because it was initially produced awhile back, then re-released, meaning for the re-release they could cut down on R&D costs being passed on to the buyer. I suspect it will cost more than the '89 Batmobile did (over $600) because it's a comparable kind of piece, and they will add in inflationary costs. I will guess $650-675.

FINALLY!!! :yess: :yess:

Awesome news to come home to, what a great looking figure!! Even my parents approve!! Definite pre-order for me!! :woo Now bring on Doc!!!

Probably won't get the DeLorean though - awesome as it looks I just don't have the space :( .

Agreed. One really should assume the worst and hope to be surprised. Any suggestion that it'll be cheaper than the Tumbler because its smaller or something isn't really taking into account the usual pattern with Hot Toys. Newer = more expensive by default (doesn't matter whether or not it should cost less) :lol

That's not true at all, lol.
The Delorean DMC-12 isn't as complicated, but the Time Machine is incredibly complicated, and there are so many parts on the rear deck for the TT components, the dashboard displays, plus the hover conversion and folding wheels, light up bands on the front and above the doors, flux capacitor, etc
