Hey there Stryker - when he's on the boat, we'll open up preorders. Don't like taking people's money until we're *sure* we know when he'll be here. That probably won't be until the Fall.

The one possibility for an earlier launch is if the new website we're working on launches soon (hoping by SDCC). It'll have the ability to take preorders with only a deposit, not the entire amount upfront. If that happens, we'd be more comfortable having the preorder date move up.

By the way, not sure if you guys heard or not, but QMx is also developing a video game based on Firefly. You could say we got the Firefly bug pretty bad ;-)

I'm closely following. You should invite be to the beta. I've tested most mmorpgs that are out there. I tend to enjoy leaving feedback...Good and or bad.

You can preorder through other stores like BBtS, but if you want the exclusive you have to wait to preorder through QMX.

QMX set up what was basically an interest list on their site. By signing up you are on the list for the figure when it goes up for the actual preorder. It's my understanding that everyone that signs up will be able to get a figure from QMX and will be charged the full amount at that time. They are just waiting until the figure is closer to release so the wait won't be so long after you pay. If any if this information is wrong I hope someone will correct me, lol.

Their site currently doesn't accept orders without immediate payment, so they don't have orders on the site until it is about to ship. They have said they are doing a big update to their site which will allow for preorders so that people can preorder and it will charge once it ships.

From what I understand it's not a guarantee that you'll be able to order, it's just a mailing list that will notify you when it goes up for order. I highly doubt it would be a situation that you wouldn't be able to order though.

That just means they plan to have enough for people, the waitlist is just so that they know how many people are interested so they can have enough available.
