Cool pics man! Thanks! Wow, sounds like we all need some more room, hahaha. I live in a apartment, so I'm trying to figure what the hell I'm gonna do.

Here's two quick pics I took. I guess not necessarily a paint defect, rather just the a texture bump on the lip, on the upper lip, right side. Maybe wolvie caught some STD from mystique? :rotfl

So, I dunno, I thought maybe I would ask you guys if you thought it was a big deal or not. Thanks for any input, considering the price of this piece, I thought I would ask... :panic:

Thanks for the brush advice, time to go get some of those suckers! Dust is the worst!!!!!

oh btw, I have to go back and dig through the posts, but is there a specific stand that people bought that compliments this wolvie?

Hey buddy, hope you also get to find a home for this guy to display him...its funny but when I think of most people I know who already own this piece I think they all have them still inside the shipping box :lol

Thanks for sharing the pics...the textured bump on the top lip isn't too much of an issue for me but then again, you can see it in person so it maybe worse than how its looking in the pics. Did you order direct from Sideshow? If not, are you able to ask for credit maybe? At the end of the day, that bump isn't supposed to be there so you have a good case to ask for a replacement head if that's the route you wanted to take :dunno

Dust is always a pain in the butt when it comes to LSF's...because they are so big, having a custom built display case for these guys would usually cost a fortune so inevitably, the dust will eventually get to them unless you dust them on a regular basis....which I'd recommend especially when it includes fabric ;)

Just see these pictures on FB. Talk about heart breaking pictures. I would be absolutely gutted if it was mine

I would cry.... That's a 2000$ statue right? And it broke and was entirely not his fault.

holy crap! what the heck happened? An earthquake?

This is what he wrote. Seems like he was just unlucky & got a dodgy one

Shocked by the super bad quality of SS wolv LSF

The first picture was when I first opened the box - a claw was broken in box while another is bend. The head has 2 shades - after a few emails SS send me a replacing head ! But not the claw

2nd - 4th pics - after 2 months I noticed that my LSF is leaning while comparing to various people in the SS freaks board so I wrote another email to SS on 14 May 2014 - asking what I should do - now still waiting for answer

I live in Bangkok, Thailand and some of you may know we just had Martial law on 20 May and Coup d'état on 22 May so we had curfew - 85% of my statues are in my other house including this wolverine. the last time I came and check was Sat 17 May and the LSF is still same position as pics 2-4

Today I had a chance to come and have a look again

Walked up the stairs and
bammmm - see pic 5th - 9th for yourselves.

I had a superman CM in the same room for nearly 4 years before I sold it beginning of this year - I did not have any problem with it Not even on the silicone face.

Aircon is turned on 6-8 hours per day to regulate temperature of the house for my statues.

I can't believe SS USd 2,000 quality is so bad....I think I will just have to stick with Prime 1 and customs

Apparently there have been a few of these. One guy was Sayin he has repaired 3 shattered statues. Apparently the foot peg is just not all that strong on some of them. You may see cracks and a lean, but basically if he starts to lean he is most likely going over. One guy said it happened immediately when he first put him in the base.

Not that you should but have thought of reinforcing your one?

It such an amazing piece I would cry if that was mine :lol

Cry? Steve, even if I chipped a PF or got a scratch on it I'd be cracking skulls!! :censored

Gotta feel for this guy...pretty much the lowest feeling you can possibly get as a collector :(

The foot peg isn't reinforced with metal?
That's a ******* disgrace!
$2,000 statues that break while displaying them... :slap

Not from what I can see, and if you look really carefully you can see massive airbubbles in the peg itself. The guy who said he fixed 3 said it is very very hollow and flimsy as all hell.

I wouldn't cry. I'd call sideshow and have a refund coming within days. You can see that the peg broke off the foot. Just a poorly made piece. If he's smart enough hell get his money back with those pictures.

Apparently he sent SSC a pic of the llean and still hadnt heard back from them before it just fell over.

He has apparently had it for months s it is a crap shoot.

Months, years, it shouldn't matter. It's not supposed to topple over at any point in its lifespan. That's a design flaw. I boxed mine up after putting it together to check for flaws so if it happens to me it'll be down the road.

If I were this guy I would ask for a refund/replacement no matter what, not taking no for an answer at all. That's $2000. If they refuse, hello attorney. It's not the consumer's fault at all in this case...it would be like renting this Wolverine for months at $2000.

If he explains his case and keeps going up the ladder SS will most likely take care of him. If this happened to me I'd already have a replacement on the way or I would make it a mission to join every single forum I could find to advertise what a jerk off company SS was and I would tell my story to anyone that would listen. The cost if this wolverine material wise isn't even close to 2k. They need to do the right thing and take care of their customer. I do hope we get some type of update on this situation. I'm extremely curious as to how SS will handle it

Definitely a design flaw or manufacturer defect.
Yeah, hopefully SS do the right thing.

There's been more than one example of this happening? :horror
I wouldn't be able to sleep and would push for my money back if I had this.
