Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Wonder if you could use a needled syringe to inject the Frabric Tac through the seam and then press up the suit? That way you don't have to pull down and stretch his suit. Of course this is risky too as you would be working blind. But if you stand him upside down as you apply, the excess runoff should stay in the pit area. Just wondering.

I think that'd be riskier than pulling the shirt down a bit.

SSC certainly comes with Do-It-Yourself now; be apart of the collection; assembly required.
In the past, they have suggested that owners with problems use glue to fix broken parts. In my own case, they suggested once that I use baby powder to keep a leather jacket from potentially peeling paint off of my Terminator statue.

Question for those of you putting Bats in a Besta. Does he look better lit from below or above? I was going to attach my lights to the tops of the shelves but thought maybe since Bats is so tall he'd look better lit from below.

Looks worse then

I think your seeing something I'm not apparently. And I didn't touch the abs so I'm not sure what your seeing there either

Looks good to me

I'm with you Cartman. I think what you did was a vast improvement over what you received. Well done. IMHO, he looks great now. Display him with pride. :clap

100% agree

Of course. Because youre using a photo thats zoomed out. Use the picture with the close up angle on your modified version. Thats a big eyesore right there. Mind taking a close up of a better angle than that?

DarkHumor - Your attacks on Cartmans's Bats seems strange... I get posting your opinion but he was obviously happy with it... Why try and ruin that??

It looks good Cartman, and it doesn't mater what others think as long as you are happier.

I just can't see what your seeing.. Not sure where the eyesore is exactly. Not arguing, but can you show me how this is worse then what came in the box?

As far as the abs go, it must be lighting, in person I have the abs that I had before, plus other sculpted muscles that were lost do to the loose suit. And if this is what it takes to lose the pits and raise the symbol, I guess I'll settle for the eyesore.

It looks great Cartman... I am thinking of doing it to mine... But I am scared :)

I was going to put led strips on the inside near the bottom for Bats and the top for Supes to kinda outlay their archetypes :)

Since I saw the photo shop with the short eared head I thought I'd give it a go with the Long eared head. View attachment 92002
Dude that looks sick. With the symbol higher you can really see the definition of the chest better and it makes him look more beast than he already is

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

I sent the e-mail showing my destroyed original heads... And I got a Sideshow response minutes later saying my destruction job was acceptable. Fastest response ever.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

lol

How much? A full $400?

I wish Sideshow would figure out a better way to handle replacements other than destruction. Seems like a huge, huge waste.

I wasn't quoted a figure, but I'm sure it wouldn't be a full $400. I wonder if anyone ever kept replacement parts. How much would they have charged?

My guess would be $75-$100 a head, depending on the intricacies...

Personally, they could've taken my heads back, repainted them, then send them out again. They only had paint scuffs.
