What if we don't think this is a bad statue?

It's not. I think it's beautiful.

I really wish more people would just cancel instead of pointing out how bad this looks, so that other people new to PF's like myself get a chance to the EX!


Noob question: expecting to get flamed a little, but whatever:

Being completely new to PF's in general, what is the main difference between a reg. Statue vs a PF? This bats will be my first premium format. I flexed the regular in hopes that the EX will become available down the road, so I won't be getting this bad boy until around May. What should I expect? The only statues I own are one of Ryu Hayabusa (1/4) and a beautiful Donatello (TMNT) that SSCade a while back and I was lucky enough to find at a local store for $300 (the EX version!!). PF's? Never owned one, but all I hear is praise for them. I mainly collect 1/6 figures (let the hate begiiin!) but I'm open minded to expand my horizons regarding mi collection! Again, very excited to get this piece but I was wondering if any freaks here might enlighten me into knowing more about PF's.

Sideshow changed their definition to include all 1:4 statues, whether they're mixed media or not.

Then you get ripped for accepting a half-@$$ statue. Which I think is BS because those who like the statue don't agree.

How am I getting ripped off if you don't like it?

By mixed media, you mean different materials? I get the switch- out parts being a feature (a cool one) but I'm confused as to what mixed media means.

Hi Guys,

It's late here in Oz and I just unravelled my PF I'll post some pics and review in the morning but I just wanted to say he is awesome. My stitching came out really well. Very little sag at all if any. If I had to criticize at all it would be the skin colour is a bit dark but then again its 12:30 at night here so I'll look again in the morning. So perk up those that are worried mine has turned out wonderfully!

Unfortunately, too many people are accepting this statue for what it is. The food doesn't taste good and we either have to swallow it, or give are portion to some hungy devil that will eat anything they feed him.

Unfortunately, too many people are accepting this statue for what it is. The food doesn't taste good and we either have to swallow it, or give are portion to some hungy devil that will eat anything they feed him.

What I don't understand is how is it becoming unfortunate if other people like it. You don't have to swallow anything you don't like, but maybe other people like it enough not to see its shortcomings. Don't buy it, move along. Unless of course you already paid an NRD and are stuck with it.

You can always return it of those QC faults worry you too much, I'm sure you'll get all your money back.

I meant those who like the statue and don't think there is anything wrong with it get ripped (i.e. critcized) for excepting a half-assed statue by those who don't think it's a good statue.

Now I understand, and yes I completely agree.

Some people need to believe that their opinions are the last word in esthetic standards, and that only mindless philistines could possibly disagree with them.

I guess it helps them sleep at night.

Exactly my point. Obviously, the powers that be at Sideshow agree with those who think there isn't anything wrong with the statue. But of course, those guys must also be part of the mindless philistines. LOL

I get it now. We all have to like the same food you do, and refuse to eat it if you don't like it, in order for everything to be right in your world. Makes perfect sense to me now.

That's good to hear. I'm getting mine later today. Some of these pics have got me worried. At least there are a few people who are getting decent stitching, so I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed. I love the way the rest of the statue turned out.
