dude, as far as I remember, in the book, the ponies that killed by Smaug was the one that given by people Lake City, not by Beorn. Ponies given by Beorn RETURNED to Beorn right after they stepped into Mirkwoord, while Gandalf won't return his pony because he went to Wizard Summit to plan an attack againts Dol Guldur. so yeah, it's pretty accurate with the book (about Beorn's ponies I mean)

Anyone think the main theme will be revised in TABA? DOS lacked a good theme IMO. I think things would come full circle if on the way home we heard AUJ theme. 55 and on)

True, but I was still surprised to not here the MM theme at all during the film. I thought that was the company's theme, but I'm sure we'll hear it a couple times in the next one.

I was surprised we didn't hear it as well. I think it was because Shore didn't actually compose that stuff or something to that effect.

Shore didn't compose it? But the soundtrack still says it was "composed by Howard Shore."

The MM theme is still in DOS, it's just very hard to find.

Plan 9 or something I think did the beat and shore tweaked a little to mix it into the movie. Something like that. I don't remember the exact details.
