I reckon this was the image of General Zod that HT used to do the sculpt:

They're both brownhaired Caucasian males; there the resemblance ends. Sorry, not seeing it.

In other news, Thor..... meh. He is not making my heart face - either version - so am probably going to pass.

*omit useless gif*

Yes, I know how frustrating it can be when someone disagrees with you online.

This is a lot like saying Scarlett Johanssen and Pamela Anderson look a lot alike. Well, why not! They are both [usually] blonde, Caucasian females who enjoy showing off their curves - so they must look exactly alike? Right?

Look, I really don't care if you think Michael Shannon and Jack Black are twins mysteriously separated at birth. I'm just saying, not everyone sees it.

Easy there.
No-one is attacking you.
And the line above is not my intent.
What *i* was saying is that the HT Zod looks like Jack Black.
Not *Michael Shannon looks like Jack Black*...
You get it now?
It looks more like Black than Shannon to my eye.
I know you're a fan of the MOS. No one is attacking the movie. Just an observation on the HT sculpt.

Now that you've mentioned it - He totally does! hehe

What exactly did we disagree about? :huh

The joke clearly went wayyyyyyyy over your head :lol

:lol :lol :lol

It's an incredible sculpt.
Tha profile is such a great likeness to Hemsworth.
But HT are really raising their game recently.
With the exception of the "Angry Jack Black" figure they released for the Man Of Steel line of course, lol.

Darn it Barry! Now I'll have to display my figure with his helmet on! :lol

Not a Thor fan but what a great release. Definitely agree with those saying this one of HT's finest likenesses and love what they did with Thor's hair. Looks really cool.

Like the fact that there's two versions so fans of either look (or both) can get what they want (also think it was the way to go w/T2 Arnold and the upcoming RoboCop). A lot of people like to mention DX07 Luke as a great example of what HT should do in situations like this but I disagree. It's one of the few times where the production figure was a fairly big downgrade from the prototype, in terms of the quality of both the sculpt and outfit. HT made a lot of compromises on that release and I'd have preferred two MMS releases with no shortcuts, even if it cost $100.00 more.

I'd prefer to get one whose panties won't turn pink. Might a Diecast version be the best choice? Ideally it'd be a mark VII.
For the diecast they're using PVC for the codpiece, so there will be no fading but no Mark VII on the horizon, as far as I know. Sounds like they're reconsidering the diecast line, but hopefully all future releases use the PVC, regardless of medium.

And you're into Avengers, now? :lol

Mean that light-heartedly, btw, just thinking about your comments in the T2 DX-13 thread in regards to getting out of collecting once you'd mopped up a license or two. Avengers ought to keep you busy for the next few years. :lol

That Zod chomper sculpt is THAT bad :lol

If someone with Photoshop could put that on a Wolverine body it may work better :D
