Does have to be said the difference is minimal at best, dunno if I'd be on board with a new Mark III or not. Depends on the package it comes with (i.e. new Tony Stark HS etc etc)

I agree.

I look at the helmet and i do see very minimal difference, other than the chest design, shoulders, abs, bicep, forearm, crotch piece, hand guard, upper legs, knee caps, lower leg design, etch, the mark 4 is pretty much a repaint.

:wink1:

broadly similar but from a surfacing and detailing perspective completely different;

Mark 4 on the left mark 3 on the right

hmm has anyone ever put a Mark IV or VI head on the Mark III to see if the helmet proportions would look better? But isn't the Mark III a darker shade of red than the latter?

That IS the mark 4 helmet on Mark 3

I'm loving my new M3.

hahahaha. nice! explains why their market prices are sooo similar

Well why not have a true comparison Mark 2 unleashed against Mark 3

Do you mean... Like this? Mark 3 BD and modded but close enough :) Made these for the mark 2 unleashed thread.

Ugh I really wanna complete my Hall of Armor collection but is a 2.0 gonna happen since we got a re-release for the Mark I and II? I either buy one of these now on ebay or wait and hope for a new release...did they ever announce a diecast version of all the previous armors?

Wait till the Diecast they have stated that they will release these in diecast

They plan on milking the Iron Man mold and turning it in to what Gundam is for Bandai

It's HT, might be 2016-17.

Has anyone had any luck in repainting their original Mark III, or sent it away to someone to have it repainted? I've seen a few amazing custom jobs online. Mine was pretty faded and had a few blemishes so it's something I had a go at myself - I'm sure my effort will horrify any 'professional' customisers, since I didn't even use an airbrush so it's very rough around the edges, but it was still a fun little project.

However, I've always wondered about sending it away to someone to strip off the paint and do an awesome job with it, so wondered if anyone had any good experiences / recommendations with that.

Well mark III was my initial custom repaint but I decided to do a mark V stealth version cause it looks more badass to do a repaint on. My next would be to do a repaint on my mark IV, still deciding what though...

You've got any pics of your custom mark III?

I don't have a custom mark III cause his propertions don't seem right haha. But if I was to make one on III I was thinking about Disco or Rescue

So you feel pretty good with your painting skills takaboi? Have you fixed any of the pink panty issues?

Pink panties does not require any paint skills, there's tutorials out there that provide an easy fix. I just don't feel like having to break apart the panties to get it fixed. Well I could say that because non of my figures suffers from pink panty syndrome, but it's not even hard to fix

So when do you guys think we will see the diecast re-release of this figure? Howard said they were definitely interested in working on that down the line.

Could be anyones guess, Personally I dont see it happening as the couple pieces that were also solicited as being diecast were changed over to the plastic format. plus Diecast sucks
