I have had nothing but great experiences with BBTS, I have always pre-ordered from them for the figures I wanted so my pricing has always been spot on.
I also like the fact that you can pre-order with no risk and no deposit.

Like I said a few posts back, this Hot Toys Iron Man frenzy has gotten to the best of them. I don't fault them for hiking the price up. It was up for preorder forever at 230-250. If you missed it, it's your own fault for procrastinating.
As far as BBTS not offering to replace a defective one, I do think that sucks, but I also know that I have always been treated well by their customer service. This instance seems isolated as I have not seen others post negative experiences with BBTS CS. So I am withholding judgement, as I do not know all the facts.
If there was a rush of posts that folks got denied to replace their defective Mark7, then it would hold more credence.

the price increase for popular items instead of selling at retail is my one gripe. this is not an isolated thing with them as i mentioned this some time ago before the MVII price hike. can you imagine if this was sideshow's policy instead of offering a waitlist? it would be WWIII in the collector's world.

This, 100%. We've yet to hear the end result of that one posters issues, and this is the first instance the majority of us have heard anything negative about BBTS CS. I've been ordering from them for years and have never had any problems with their CS, so I'm gonna reserve judgement until we find out the answers.

Yep, seems the Mark VII's are going out today!

This figure is awesome & grabbing another one for a little above retail is worth it at this point. It definitely beats passing on the figure then having to pay double the retail costs down the road, which is likely to happen given the HT IM track record.

In person, the eyes on the helmet really don't bother me at all, and I think the head sculpt is fantastic. I guess all that b****ing was for nothing, huh? I understand personal opinions, but try not to inflict yours on others if they're that negative.

If you're not on the regular waitlist yet, I'd say you should jump on now. If you are, I think you have a pretty good chance of converting.

As for the BBTS, I will still continue ordering from them. I have done so for years and never had any bad experiences. Friendly CS, good packaging, etc.

I too, don't agree with their price hikes. $20 is acceptable in order to push their preorders but anything higher is just plain scalping.

As for not replacing a defective order when others of the same thing are still in stock are just plain WRONG! I hope that issue gets resolved.

Offering to exchange and refunds are two diffrent things. Im confident, BBTS offered/will offer a full refund for the defective mark vii.

Waitlisted orders will sit until SSC is completely and utterly out of stock from all their flex-pays. However once they run out of those, and nobody cancels anymore, the waitlist will end and you'll be notified of them not being able to fulfill the figure. At this point, if you're willing to wait 2-4 months until you get that notice, you MIGHT get one, but chances are pretty slim. If you absolutely have to have this figure for your collection, you should not risk that.

Wait lists can last a while, and there may still be a chance of yours converting. Though with the popularity of IM figures of any kind, these things are going fast and since they have been distributed now for weeks, the chances are getting slimmer by the day on wait list conversions.
You can check with SSC and ask if they have any pending orders for these coming in still. They will not be able to answer if yours will convert, but they will probably at least tell you if they have more ordered and or expected.

I waitlisted on the 14th of June, still no conversion. I was fortunate enough to get one from Playmoya for a decent enough price.
