Thinking about selling all my 1/4 Enterbay Bruce Lee's .... this will be the ultimate piece for my house I think....

I traded 5 of my Enterbay 1/6 scale Bruce Lees for this.
Hoping I made the right choice, I think I did  :panic:

And I agree... This is the ultimate Bruce Lee (for now).

Would this be able to fit in a detolf after removing a shelf? It's 15' wide right?

The height and width fit. The depth or length is very close. The detolf shelf length is 370mm. The length of the statue is 360mm. So you have less than half an inch there from front to back.

I feel like the weight of the statue would break the glass its sitting on. And I can't believe ppl are actually *****ing at the price of this... Its 1/3 and only $600. That'snot bad at all. If this were a SS piece, itd be 1200 with an inaccurate sculpt and some lazy eyed paint job. Ppl love to complain about anything.

Oh god, don't put it on the glass shelf. Max load per shelf is 13lb or 6kg.

I've spent close to what they're asking for this on a 1/6 Bruce, and I'm still passing on this one. Many of the critiques of this piece here are about the expression or lack thereof. There haven't been too many complaints for the sake of complaining like this is some HT Iron Man thread lol.

How many people are going for the golden version and who's gonna buy the regular version with the name engraved on the golden plate ???

I just ordered the regular version. If they do an Enter the Dragon version, I'm all over that too. Especially if this one comes out just as Awesome as these pics.

I thought you thought the EB one was better now you think this one is?

I do think the EB Way of the Dragon sculpts are better ....but I don't like the joints on the figures wrists that are still visible, even with the jacket on. Don't like figure stand either.
Amazing sculpts though ..... really I guess its just a personal choice of 'statue vs figure' ..... I fall on the statue side....

i'd hold on to the HD1002 at least..that's the best 1/4 bruce statue/or figure in my opinion.you'd be sorry if you let him go:thud:

You might be right ...especially the awesome 1/4 mirror dio base I have with it.

But size wise its going to be dwarfed and I have a feeling that this new Blitzway one will be stunning in hand and overshadow HD-1002.

Yeah I am actually the predicting the paint job on this statue won't be as good as the paint job on the HD1002, since it is so cheap considering the size unfortunately. :(

The new paint job better be spot on. It is $600+
"But that's cheap for 1/3 scale" is not even close to a good excuse for a sloppy paint job.

HD-1002/3 was sub $200 when it launched and the paint job is good on that.

HD-1008 was $380 and had 2 hand painted sculpts ...which basically means double the work for a painter.

Blitzway have a good reputation so far with their first couple of releases and so far their attention to quality is good.

This is the first foray into the very high end of the market and is a big name release with a star artist.

I think they'll want to ensure this is knocked out of the park, quality wise.

I haven't seen anyone b-tching about the price. No one is actually complaining or saying that it is a rip-off, just that $600 is a lot of money. Yes, it might be cheap for the scale, good value for money etc... but regardless, $600 is still a lot of money to drop on a collectible.

Look I'm sorry but your talking about a hobby that involves collecting high end statues. Its not gonna be cheap. 600 for a 1/3 is almost a steal. If you think its too much, your probably in the wrong hobby. Sorry if that comes off as a **** comment but that's the way I see it

I feel like the weight of the statue would break the glass its sitting on.

I think it would to, but they can always put it on the bottom shelf. Then maybe put the whole detolf on something higher than can withstand weight like a chest of draws or something. :dunno

Who's to say that this won't be a lazy *** paint job either? This is Blitzways first statue. Most of sideshow's head sculpts are more accurate than Hot Toys like pretty much anything Trevor sculpts (except MOS). The problem is the sloppy paint job like u said.

If the EB Way of the dragon sculpt was slim and looked like this I would agree with you.

Instead of this real wide face.

Don't like figure stand either.

Oh you saw are more of a statue collector then and just converted to 1/4 scale figures because most of them look better overall than sideshows 1/4 scale statues. :wink1:

I don't think it will be sloppy just plain looking.

Yes but you are forgetting that both of those items are all made out of PVC and not high quality polystone. That is why they can sell them for that price because PVC weighs nothing and is cheap to make.

Yeah it is a steal which is why my first question to Won is what is the catch why is this so cheap. However, $600 is a lot of money, so people just can't get over that price tag even though $600 for a 1/3rd scale statue is cheap.

Please don't confuse my posts with JD18_92 :)

To answer those that were actually mine:

Yes I like 1/4 scale best. I thought it was awesome that Enterbay entered the 1/4 market with figures..... but after buying both their first Terminator and WotD Bruce .....they are great but I still don't like the 'figure parts' (ie. visible joints, stands, etc....)

All of Enterbay's 1/4 figure efforts are stunning though. People who are into figures and aren't buying are really missing out.

Someone is still painting them though and its the hand crafting that really jacks up the cost the most.
For $600+ they better have someone painting it properly.

I think based on the paintwork on Blitzway's first two figures, 'plain' (or sloppy) painting is not a problem they have shown so far.

PS - in the two pics you posted I think the WotD one looks waaaay better.
The GoD one looks all wrong, like its too small.... to each their own...

At first I didn't know what you meant but I can see what you mean now. Gotcha! ;)

Well if they are hand painted then maybe you have a point but I am guessing since Blitzway mainly makes toys they will just be factory paint jobs. Unlike statues that are hand painted by sideshow.

The GOD one is the WOD one, but the better lighting and more hair makes the face more accurate as it is narrower than the sculpt of this GOD statue. That being said maybe it is too narrow and small like u said. :dunno Nevertheless, the very thing people are complaining about the head sculpt of this statue is that the sculpt looks too fat and he needs to be less chubby. I was hoping that the picture of the WODMOD/GOD sculpt would show them that the head sculpt of this statue is not fat but needs to be narrower similar to the painted mod WOD/GOD looks. :wink1:

$579.99 + $44.29 shipping for US peeps at BBTS .....

right first of all i'm NOT moaning/complaining call it what you want over the price.i've collected bruce lee and crow figures since the early 90s when they first came out( been a fan of bruce since (1974)yep i'm old.:lol.however as my first possible 1/3 statue of bruce we in the uk are having to spend at least £500 ($750usd) nearly £100!! more.and as a one off payment:horror us without vast amounts to spend(I usually put a bit aside here and there)for my hobby if you want to call it that.so unlike well paid/single guys,i have to decide can I really justify spending £500 on a statue.so yes it's very cheap to some ''high end collectors'',but guys like myself find it the opposite.i hope that's cleared my take on the ''costing issue''..yes it's a great statue...perfect no,but I agree it WILL look stunning displayed:exactly:

No offense, just repeating it all the time means you are IMO.

You are right it isn't cheap but I am sorry very large high quality statues never are, so deal with it. Considering it's size this statue is quite cheap, which is why I think they will cut corners. I know it sucks that the price is high in the UK but you should not complain about how you have to pay $750 USD, since here in Australia we have to pay the same dam price, because of our weak dollar compared the US Dollar. :gah:

Now you assuming all of us that are buying this are rich and we all own high quality statues, which is why we think this is cheap. Well I am not rich, nor do I own ANY high quality statues, but what I do to buy things is to get rid of old collectibles I don't need. When you are poor it is all about sacrifice.

I have a friend complaining to me in the US how he can't afford the statue, I said then just sell the stuff you don't need. Like optimus sold 5 of his EB figures to get this! Of course I am not telling you do this, I am just saying there are other ways to get things than being rich.

Sorry about the lecture, just things are not always what they seem.

no offence dark.I was just replying to a previous post about peeps moaning at the price, giving my take on it.i don't assume anything about you guys being rich i'm speaking as a family man and not as a single guy and not aimed at anyone (i think you missed my point).my collection is all bruce/crow,so i wont be getting rid of any.that's why i started in the first place.so thanks for the lecture, and i think i can deal with it.
