Yeah, maybe that's it. It just looks off for some reason:

Maybe the way they posed him in the pics. They kinda have the chest "popped" out.

Prretty sure its the way they have it posed, this pic they look more or less the same:

The actual suit its self is rather bulky though seen here, It also seems to have rather big eyes:

.

The battle damage is also missing those two red pieces of armor covering the sides maybe slimming it down a bit?

when is this guy shipping?

Should be releasing in Hong Kong any time now, we're just waiting on the OMG pictures to determine a US date.

Yeah you can remove those on the normal version too. All of that gets jettisoned when the jetpack parts are removed in the film.

Yeah i know, just stating that with those pieces removed it may look a little slimmer it also breaks up the amount of red in that area too creating the illusion of less bulk perhaps?. I personally prefer the Bulky look of the mark VII. when looking straight on though they both look more or less the same to me.

Nice catch. Yup, I think that's why.

Which IM figure would would you IM experts suggest for somebodies first?

I'm getting the regular Mark VII as my first one. Love the armor and the headsculpt, even if it's one of the most hated around here, it seems. I'd definitely recommend it. I'm probably getting Tony's lab for his equipment and TT body with arc reactor and Mark 42 is a question mark, although I already have it on PO. Some people seem to love the Mark IV or VI. I wouldn't get them now because there are rumours of Diecast remake and they have the fade in the crotch area. It's a matter of opinion really. But I think you would be a winner with the reg Mark VII :yess:

If you're looking for probably the best priced figured, its gonna be this one. Any of the others, especially the 3, 4, or 6 are gonna run you quite a bit of cash. Those are all the "definitive" looking armors.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to through myself on the waitlist and see what happens! :rock

Great post. I agree with it. Very good variations with this armor. :hi5:

Yup, seems like this is the most "traditional" looking IM that's not gonna run a lot of $$.

Are you talking just between these two or out of the whole line?

Unfortunately between these two you probably won't get your hands on a BD; they're already going for $500-$700+ on eBay. Unless you’re willing to pay the piper I really doubt that your waitlist would convert at this point.

Since you're showing up late here's the deal: This is a limited edition Exclusive that's only getting released in certain markets. They announced the numbers for the 3 places that got them in Asia (Singapore and 2 other places I forget now). One place got 800, one got 600 and one got 500. The rest are only going to the US thru SS and they didn't disclose the ES yet. Maybe it was 1100 if this is going to be 3000 total like the MK VI Avengers promo.

Bottom line is these are super limited and sold out on SS in 3 hours. The next day the opened up the waitlist and people have been piling on since.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think that you have about 1000 times the chance of a reg. ver. converting than this one.

Personally, mark iv is the best armor hot toys has made with the mark vii following second...Never saw the appeal of mk vi.

Yeah, I figured that reading the specs on the first page. Bummer, I wish this was a regular release. Thanks for the background info though, PKC.

Regular version it is!

My first IM was the mark V, got rid of it a few months back wasn't a fan of how slim it was and with it being the suitcase it had no weaponry. The only IM i have now is the mark 1, simply because i love the engineering design to the suit. The mark VII will be the first red and gold armor for me, i couldn't pick this guy up i don't have contacts in the states unlike some scot who im sure will chime in soon lmao :nana::nana:. Plus i like the Clean Mark vii a little more.

Sorry if this has been asked before. But is this figure up for order at Sideshow website before? I never got the notification. How much was it sold for?
Can you refer me to the link? Thanks :)

How is it even possible for someone to not get the email? You enter you email and you automatically get sent the notification. Its either user error where someone did not correctly enter their information or did not join the right list. Maybe some people are just plain lying. Some people I am sure got the email but for various reasons did not get their order in on time so they lie and say they never got it.

FYI..i have a friend that did NOT receive the order email and he signed up. i believe SS sends out their emails in waves and when they reach sold out status, why bother sending out anymore? i guarantee if collectors looked at the time their email was sent out, that the send time stamp differs from other collector's email. i use an email blast marketing service (constant contact) and it sends out the blast to my email list, never all at once. i wonder if past purchases puts you higher in the order cue or email notification. one of the many mysteries in life. :rotfl

It sounds like a lot of people didn't get the email and there's a good handful of reports of really late emails. I assumed because of how limited this was SS took the approach that they did with this PO to avoid a system crash. If that's the case I also assumed that they may have stopped sending emails to those who signed up too late

I'm going to start this comment with :peace

I understand people are upset about not getting the e-mail, but let's really get down to the brass tacks.

This figure was announced by Sideshow and it was going to be available sometime within two weeks of IM3 premiere stateside. Everyone who follows HT knows that figure launches occur sometime between 2-8PM (They close 8PM EST).

Armed with these facts, all you would have to do is check this board 1 time an hour or (7 times between 2-8PM). If this figure meant that much to you as a collector then I think with today's technology that is very little to ask of a person. Now for our friends out of the US they got screwed so even that would not have helped. Anyone else that is complaining about not getting e-mails has nobody to blame other than themselves. Yes, sideshow needs to get their **** together, but to blame that e-mail as to why you didn't get the figure is just passing the blame off yourself for not keeping up with the release. The figure sold out in 2 hours and I am 100% certain not all of the people that ordered it did because of an e-mail from sideshow.

Use it as a learning experience, the next time a figure is Exclusive and limited check this board 1 time an hour and you will not miss it.:peace
