Hopefully, we can all get along here. Whatever happened in the other thread can die off with that thread. I don't want this thread to shut down too. We have a week or 2 till this comes out. In hand pics to look forward to, neat poses to take ideas from. It would suck if this thread gets tainted too. We all have lots to look forward to. I'm excited! It's a great time to be a HT collector!:1-1:

guys, whatever happens between us all and whatever fate this thread shall have, i want you to remember one thing...i still love you

So guys who got theirs converted, did you get charged $25 or $250? Mine converts later this week, so i would like to know.

I didn't even get a change to pre-order the BD. Obviously there is an issue of supply failing to meet demand. Hot toys is obviously too stupid or too greedy to meet that demand.

If everyone who wanted a red gold Iron man got one, it would eat their future Iron man sales. So they keep the most iconic figure at bare bones production, and ask that us collectors pay big money for the ancillary support characters first.

Business is business. Howard Chan wants nightly pleasuring by different supermodels every night in his deluxe pent house. He wants to sniff cocaine off the dashboard of his lambo. He and all the other scalpers are laughing all the way to the bank, while the real collectors wonder why it is so hard just to get a red gold iron man.

You'll get charged the NRD when your waitlist converts to a pre-order status. When that pre-order is filled, you'll be charged the remainder of the $249.99 + shipping.

Sure did, though it would be nice if the mods would focus on useless threads that need to be merged / deleted instead
Yeah cos peeps creating what one member may deem a useless thread is way more important than a back and forth between members that takes over the thread for 18 out of the 40 pages I checked.

Maybe if peeps were a little more pro-active towards each other and even the forum, rather than revelling in drama, we could work together to do more, if we need to. You think a thread is useless, don't post in it. If a thread is created and you know there is an existing one for the same thing, report it with the link for the existing one and we will merge them together.

We do what we can (and we're very good at it;)), but even we don't see everything, we do have real lives outside of the interwebz and are not always online.
If however you do a reported post for something we may have missed, it WILL be looked at by the mods of that section as soon as one gets online.

enough fellas... arguing about the same thing that got that thread closed doesnt sound like a good idea...
:exactly:

Lets hope so.

You never know I might surprise you :naughty :devil

Never try to predict what a mod will do, especially me :lol

Considering the swappable shoulder, thighs and traps, I think that this figure can totally represent the Mark VII after dettaching those pieces when falling from the sky.

Thast why I didn't mind missing the BD version this one looks good enough :yess:

After thinking about it, I don't mind missing it either. And this comes with the best Tony HS imo. It's going to look great with my asmus outfit :lol. I'm going to put him right with Loki. I hope I can get a Nick Fury and Hulk soon, that would complete my Avengers thirst, since I'm gonna wait for the new Thor and Cap for their figures.

Though scot's post should really just remind me how cool this figure is, it mostly reminds me how horrible that Stark head is. WTF, Hot Toys? With all their resources, and all the great sculptors at their disposal, they still haven't been able to capture this guy's likeness after umpteen tries. More Johnny Depp than RDJ.

When are you people who come up with these weird opinions about head sculpts going to realize you are the one with the problem. The sculpt is great and any normal person can see its a great RDJ sculpt.

Sculpted likeness is like many things. Something that is often more an aspect of opinion rather than fact.

I dunno, I see a lot of Roberto Downey Jr. in this sculpt. Latin Iron Man.

These headsculpts are very hard to judge with pictures. Pic wise however, I like the IM3 Tony as HT's best effort to his likeness.

I think we often loose sight of how astonishing these figures are to begin with. They're not only prototyped but then produced in a factory and still manage to be far better than any museum quality miniatures I have ever seen.

I see Gary Sinise in IM3 HS. That's really a matter of opinion. And yeah, they all will definitely look great, all of them. We will win, no matter which one we get
