$300 that's pricey, however many armors they make for IM3 will determine if I get this or not. Just not as essential to me as the Tamashi C3PO!

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS195D1 - Iron Man 3: Iron Patriot Diecast Series Official Specs

Well Tony couldn't have been Die Cast :lol

The smart thing is to do the plastic AFTER this has released. Otherwise they're taking away sales from this by having to the same up for order at the same time. It's not rocket science.

There is no guarentee they'll do a plastic MMS when you consider pricing. The price of this isn't that far beyond the Avenger Armour $30-40 or so, so the plastic version wouldn't cost a significantly lot less than the die-cast. Is that enough difference for them to do another version? Particularly when they know people will cave for their fix and get the Die-Cast.

The avengers armor went up for PO 6 months ago... if you think about it the price increase is PAR for the course.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS195D1 - Iron Man 3: Iron Patriot Diecast Series Official Specs

CONTAINS die cast metal- it is not entirely die cast... like Bandai's chogokin stuf. So MMS might not be happening with IM3

Price I'll bet around $300

Looks like I'll be the first one to admit I'm buying:D Will the Spring13 coupon work on this?

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS195D1 - Iron Man 3: Iron Patriot Diecast Series Official Specs

So the plastic Mk VII is $250 (but with several accessories) and the diecast IP is $310.

So if they did come out with a plastic MMS IP for $250 with accessories, which way would you go?

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS195D1 - Iron Man 3: Iron Patriot Diecast Series Official Specs

I'd love to buy this.

But I could never own it at $310 and feel good about that purchase.

:exactly:
I wonder how much more expensive the Mark XLII will be, it has to come with interchangeable BD parts.

If this was the plastic MMS IP for $250 i would already have it on PO, but it looks like i'll be saving the money for IP something else. :(

The SPRING2013 coupon does not work with this, the verbage for that coupon said that anything released between March 1 and April 21 when the coupon expires was not valid.

200 preorders in 3 hours in BBTS ..............."

I'm not a fan of iron man but impressive demand for this figure

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS195D1 - Iron Man 3: Iron Patriot Diecast Series Official Specs

310 for a Chipmonger?

LOL, any articulation on this thing is just begging for trouble. Still a beaut though. Might get it and just keep in a salute position.

America, **** Yeah!!!

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS195D1 - Iron Man 3: Iron Patriot Diecast Series Official Specs

Looks cool as hell, still not feeling Don Cheadle in that role though...I like the guy and all but he just doesn't seem "right" in the armor.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS195D1 - Iron Man 3: Iron Patriot Diecast Series Official Specs

no battle damaged parts... so we'll get a BD release some time in the future? :p

price and lack of accessories make this a hard sell for me.
$350+ by the time its landed in aus.

Lol I was thinking the same thing. If rdj was in it or anyone else I would have pulled the trigger since I do like the armor. Just not DC in it

Personally, I don't really care who's in the suit, its the outside that matters as far as merchandise goes and this.is.beautiful.

The Mark XLII will have BD parts and a higher price tag

plastic- hate the texture/paint app on the diecast, looks non-movie like. judging by how fast the preorders are selling, plastic is not gonna happen :panic:

Kinda leads to the idea that HT need not bother with a plastic ine since people will lap this up.

I'll wait for in-hand impressions. $300 is too much to bank an NRD on with an untested format.
